Smashed out stranger things 1+2.
I’d watched s1 last year, the recap was worth it.
Still enjoyable, I’ll say no more.
Wasn't feeling ep 1 tbh. Finished ep2 and marginally better. In the first season it was all a mystery, in this season, you've seen the monster/parallel universe, so it's lost a lot of what made it great.

But, I'm only two eps in, so hopefully I've got it completely wrong (very probably) and it'll pick up.

That said, bringing in Mikey from The Goonies is a nice touch as was spotting all of the '80's classics referenced in the house party in ep2 smile

S2 of Stranger Things done. I think it was as good as the first, but they need to mix it up going forward.

. . . ish I think it's a shame that 11 is basically wheeled in to use powers and then wheeled off again, under utilised I think.

Well working from a slightly alcohol induced fuzzy memory...:

ET (obviously 11 under sheet)
Lost Boys - leather jacket/mullet
Animal House (obvious)
House party scene generally - take your pick but lets say Sure Thing
Carrie - for obvious reasons

Ep 4 has a few nice ones as well:

Teen Wolf - basket ball
Mixes nicely into Top Gun esq volley ball montage
Segues nicely into Top Gun shower/locker room/Ice Man scene.
And obviously a whole lot of Tremors

Ep 5

An almost frame for frame scene from Back to the Future...

Ep 5 added...

Eight episodes into Stranger things season 2. Really enjoying it.
Eleven has just turned up to dispatch the zenomorphs “Dema Dogs”

I laughed at the response of the new girl after the events of the previous season were explained to her: “Very good, although a bit derivative in places.” I don’t normally expect characters to provide such a succinct review of the show in which they appear.

Loved both series of Stranger Things, not episodic at all, more like two very long movies.

Brooklyn 99 is the best comedy I’ve seen for a long time, it’s about a New York police precinct and it’s got it all. Not seen one dud episode as of yet
Thanks for this. Kicked it off and enjoying it so far. Binged the first few.

I'm sure we never called it "KFC" in the 80s...maybe that was what they paid for, though.

Same here really enjoying it, 21 eps in since yesterday (slow night in work.....)

Also binged on both Suburra’s. Excellent, are they making a 2nd series?

Yeah, it is brilliant. They all seem to gel don't they? Awaiting Season 5 to air on E4 soon.
Yeah!, it’s one of those programs I can’t decide who I like the best. Sometimes it’s Gina, then it will be Amy, then holt.

Series 4 isn’t on Netflix yet, not sure when it’s due out either. May just pay the £13 they want for it on amazon

I wasn't a fan of Pimento when I first watched Season 3 on E4 but then I warmed to him whilst binge watching Season 3 again on Netflix. I hope season 4 is on Netflix soon as I'm running out of DVD space smile

Enjoy House of Cards whilst you can I suggest a binge viewing before the axe falls on it as the future shows have been dropped.

It was on our to watch list on Netflix. However, knowing what we know now about kevin Spacey and the abuse of a child, I coudn't bring myself in all good consience to watch him in anything now.

Don't think he is accused of abusing a child though is he?. He has said he has no memory of the "encounter" and its his word against the accuser.
However the fact that Netflix is cancelling future series makes you wonder if there is more to come out.

He hasn't denied it though, has he. Would you protest vociferously if you were accused of such a thing?

He's said that he can't remember the incident that "would have been 30 years ago", but that if he did do what he's accused of, it was because he was drunk!!

Who ever recommended "it's always sunny in Philadelphia", an internet pint to you.

It's absolutely hilarious, a bit slow to start, but 1/2 way through season 2 now and I had to stand up a couple of times on Sunday because my stomach was cramping with laughter, to be fair I always get the giggles when hungover, but never the less, properly funny.

It was already the last series. Nothing to see here.
