Sinner

Really hard to watch at times, massive potholes but not bad, just not as good as the hype.
It's a bit slow and none of the characters inspire much sympathy IMO, but in its favour it falls into the small set of programmes that my wife and I will both watch smile

I would say there's potential for a season 2. There are still some scope for further twists.

All depends on Netflix's appetite for another series.

I watched A Bronx Tale last night. A classic film.
Watched this a couple of weeks ago, as you say, it's a great film.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but "The Good Place" with Kirsten Bell and Ted Danson is a good watch. Especially when the Joke is revealed. And it isn't that Jameela Jamil stars in it!

Watched the Williams documentary which I enjoyed. Mansell and Piquet was quite a driver line up.

I felt zero sympathy for Frank, his accident was entirely self inflicted, he's lucky he didn't kill a couple of his employee's in the process.

I do love the fact that a poor northern bloke showed the established elite how it's done.
Watched this yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed it, I think having no sympathy for him is a tad harsh, we all do stupid things, however you did get the impression that he was definitely at peace with his issues and definitely didn't wallow in it and wouldn't want people to feel sorry for him.

I watched about 5 or 6 episodes and I enjoyed them but then forgot it was even on . OK but forgettable.

the very last seconds of the final scene were interesting... some plot lines weren't really tied up...

Just finished the series, Sinner, well worth a watch.

Tried to watch a couple,of other movies, Netflix tells me it can’t play them. Managed to watch the end of an episode of Braking Bad, but then it won’t play the next episode.

I agreed to the price rise yesterday, so I’m all up to date with things. Anybody else having trouble?
I just reload the app when this happens.

We usually chime pretty well with opinions on here but I'm struggling with Mindhunter, it just goes too slowly I think.

Williams Documentary; I knew FW was very single minded and the documentary confirmed that view. What surprised me was that I ended up feeling sorry for Claire Williams, she worships her dad but I wonder how much she gets back. Thought provoking doc.

Same here. I want to like it, I really do but, it just doesn't have enough momentum to hold my interest. I made it to episode 5 before giving up.

Sinners I really enjoyed, binged the lot over just 2 days.

I've now finally got around to starting season 2 of Narcos. Just as brilliant as season 1 so far, I don't often care for things with lots of sub-titles but I barely notice I'm reading them as I'm so engrossed in whats happening.

Then you've kinda missed the whole point which is revealed at the end of the first season.

Carrying on from that reveal the first episode of season 2 is one of the best laughs I've had for a few years.

Watched Scouts guide to the Zombie apocalypse and The Babysitter , both were a solid 6/10 for me the former was funnier but the latter had the delicious Samara Weaving in it

The Invitation
A bloke and his girlfriend are invited round to his ex's house for a reunion with other old friends...a lowish budget, but well made tense thriller as the evenings events don't go well...

Is Netflix an app on your TV or on a Playstation etc connected to the TV? For some reason, the Amazon and Netflix apps don't work properly on our TV (LG, a couple of years old) and basically do exactly the same as yours. I thought it was the wireless signal in the TV, but video through the built in browser is fine. It's also fine through the Playstation.

Happens now and then on my LG TV too, assuming it's because it stays signed in with the app 'open' so there might be a time limit to how long you can be logged in to Netflix, closing the app and re-opening fixes it. Depending on your TV's OS depends on how you actually close it.

I can understand the urge to do something that's never been done before, especially if you know you're capable. I could also justify the risks but I don't have children, or a partner. Leaving them without a father and husband would be pretty selfish.
I watched it yesterday. Definitely seems to be some psychological obsession in there somewhere, going over and above the usual draw or challenge of a sport or hobby.

No matter what part of the climb they were on, I kept remembering that they have to climb down if they give up. Absolutely knackered, starving, sick, cold and weak, and still a weeks climbing or more to get down. Nope, not just a sport.
