Is Netflix an app on your TV or on a Playstation etc connected to the TV? For some reason, the Amazon and Netflix apps don't work properly on our TV (LG, a couple of years old) and basically do exactly the same as yours. I thought it was the wireless signal in the TV, but video through the built in browser is fine. It's also fine through the Playstation.
Netflix is already on our newish smart TV, this is the only time it has played up, and has been okay since that one night. I thought maybe it was something to do with the price change logistics. All good now though.

Just bought a new telly. It has a dedicated "Netflix" button on a "Magic" remote whatever that is.

When the telly can't keep up with app updates it will be a nice museum piece

Anybody seen Shot in the Dark? Follows "stringers" around Los Angeles - Freelance cameramen who film crime and then sell it to news stations. Basically a real life version of the film Nightcrawler - It's a bit twisted but I'm four episodes in and so far it's been really good if not a little twisted

Just finished the series. It stays very good until the end.

Ultra gory though so beware.

Is The Good Place on one of those annoying American "mid-season breaks"? Or is that it?

I think I read somewhere on here or another thread that it is indeed on a mid season break. Frustrating indeed.

The Amazing Jessica James

A lovely, "cooky" film. Not much to the story beyond a basic girl meets boy, etc. But the parts are well played and the script is decent enough. A good few laughs and Chris O'Dowd definitely helps to bring the humour.

A nice, easy film to watch with a partner of an evening. 6.5/10 (nothing really wrong with it, but there's not much to it)

I started this at the weekend... Superb, darker and harder edged than any of the others in the Netflix Marvel series.
Jon Bernthal is perfectly cast as Frank Castle. 4 episodes in, can't wait to see where it goes.

On episode 5 and yes am fidning it very very good - almost as good as daredevil season 1.

So far i'm finding the weak spot to be Madani- her acting and just seems so wooden and lacks screen presence.

Daredevil Season was brilliant... I remember thinking at the time it was unbelievable well crafted and produced for a TV series. I'll be revisited that series again.
The only weakness I've seen in The Punisher were a couple of things I found predictable in the plot thus far, though no way disappointing.
Madani... she is a bit light weight but, IMO, being wicked hot more than makes up for it. tongue out

3 episodes in here, enjoying it more than Mindhunter which was abandoned at episode 7.
Interspersing with Stranger Things S2 which is as good as S1 I think.

Tried to watch a UK series, Paranoid which I assume must have been on terrestrial at some point (looks like an ITV drama) but, despite the promising cast we gave up after a handful of episodes - plodding storyline and no likeable characters - 5/10

Like you I enjoyed The Sinner and gave up on Mindhunter, although I only got as far as the 5th episode.

I also gave up on Stranger Things. I struggled with season 1, and gave up on episode 3 of the 2nd season.

But I'm enjoying The Punisher.

Just watching this. Two episodes in, bloody brilliant. Honestly at the end of the first episode I jumped out my seat.
