Just finished what I presume is the first series of Mindhunter. Was gripped throughout, I was concerned with some of the comments on here that I'd peter off with it but it just never happened - the character development was brilliant all the way through and I thought the series ended well.

Looking forward to the next one.

Me too, finished it ten minutes ago. biggrin

It was GREAT to see some nasty baddies getting a suitable demise, rather than the usual clean bullet to the head ending we see in most movies.

me three! probably around 10pm... There's a chance I live a sheltered life, but that was one of the most brutal/gory last couple of hours of face off that I've seen in many years...
The fact that it's the normally shiny, happy, colourful, baddies-die-with-no blood Marvel made it all the more shocking....

The action backed up by a decent story, decent acting and all that guff... yep that is a worthwhile series.

Just started Stanger Things I'm only on Episode 3 its decent so far but still wondering why there is so much hype around it. Is it the nostalgia factor? or does it get better?

IMO it does improve as the series goes on. Its a year ago now, but I remember being a bit underwhelmed in the early episodes.

I'm the same where I have watched the first three episodes and couldn't understand all the hype so I didn't continue. Maybe I was in the mood to watch a comedy or something. I really want to continue watching it so I reckon I'll have to start again.

We've just finished Stranger Things 2 and we were both very underwhelmed.

S1 didn't really grab us and S2 confirmed it really isn't our thing.

I liked stranger things as to me it was like a classic 80s horror science fiction film.

I watched it when it first came out so didn’t really have many expectations. I think if everyone has been telling you how great it is then it’s quite likely you’ll be disappointed.

It does get very good ratings generally though so on balance it seems most people liked it.

I think this is the problem for people like me. I'm nostalgic for 1980s stuff and so wanted to like Stranger Things, but the crux of the problem for me is that I do not enjoy the genre so it's unsurprising I didn't enjoy it.

I had a Netflix alert email yesterday saying that Glitch season 2 will be added next Tuesday. I liked the first season so I'll be watching that one when it's out. It's an Australian series about a few people who come back to life (yes, a little similar to the French series The Returned / Les Revenant)

Weiner.

Interesting documentary about an awful bloke with an absolutely cast-iron, copper-bottomed self-confidence, and zero shame.

I quite liked him.

I think it's a Marmite thing. I have fond memories of watching pirate VHS tapes of horror movies in the 80s so to me it's familiar ground.

My wife was saying last night - if we'd had the series explanied to us beforehand we'd wonder what all the fuss so I can see how it can appeal to some but not others.

I watched the first episode, but it seemed to be something for pre-teens and I could take no more.

I hadn’t really heard of it before but being Marvel I expected some stupidity with grainy 20s film look and silly special powers, so I was pleasantly surprised it turned out as good as it did.

Anybody seen Shot in the Dark? Follows "stringers" around Los Angeles - Freelance cameramen who film crime and then sell it to news stations. Basically a real life version of the film Nightcrawler - It's a bit twisted but I'm four episodes in and so far it's been really good if not a little twisted
Just watching this. Two episodes in, bloody brilliant. Honestly at the end of the first episode I jumped out my seat.
I'm on Ep. 6 and it's still enjoyable but starting to feel a bit too stage-managed (as in the interaction between the main players, not what they shoot) but that's par for the course with this type of show.

They probably all love each other in real life...
