Bah,it's the former...well,maybe without the"really"smile
I’m only two episodes in. Seems ok but I can picture it getting awful. Will stick with it for a bit...

Wait till you get to season 2 and it'll be a much easier decision.
Kiefer Sutherland... does he talk properly in this, or in that horrendous annoying loud whisper he used all through the series Touch?

I came so close to turning that off every time his hoarse whisper came through, while all around him managed to talk in perfectly sensible voices.

Still whispering and we suffered season 2 until the end, just because Mrs Langtounlad insisted on seeing how it ended.
She then announced (and I fully agree) that we won't be watching season 3.

We've started watching Damnation and are already on episode 6 and it was only released this week :0

Binged Altered Carbon last night. Mediocre, verging on not too bad. Won’t say anymore than that to give others time to watch. smile

Ultimately preferred the book, admittedly from memory!

He has no vocal chords. Just as well he isn't an actor.

That is the annoying thing, he does occasionally speak like a normal human being, so why can’t he do it all the time and not sound like such an arse?

I agree about the acting though.

Watched the first episode of Altered Carbon, thought the effects were first class, the acting however below par.

Update - given up half way through forth. Nothing to keep me interested at all. It’s like a crap version of House of Cards mixed with Homeland.

Indeed, there were some cringey moments both from the acting and the script. For those that persevere the last 3 episodes are probably the best in terms of picking up the pace, the preceding episode being the slowest!

Dirty money documentary. Only watch one on Valeant - a US prescription drugs company.

If you thought Martin Shkreli and the AIDS drug price Increase was bad, Valeant makes him look a smal fish.

Finished the Sinner.
Started well but went down hill about halfway through and the less said about the ending the better.

Having a drink every time they invoke a random lefty talking point improves it no end. I managed to complete Season 1 with this strategy but couldn't do Season 2 as work was suffering hehe

Reactivated my sub to Netflix today to watch the first of these. Glad I did, a bit US focused but much better than the rubbish that is BBC Panorama these days.

The Scott Tucker payday loan one is very good.

Watched the first 3 or 4 of the dirty money series yesterday, the VW one has some startling bits in it, they seem to have short memories at VW.

The Pharma one is good as well as is the one about the pay day loan business.

Good series.

Just seen it. Pretty good if a little slow. Quite thought provoking.

HSBC one should be interesting.

Looking for inspiration for a new series to watch with our 12 year old son.

He's just watched stranger things, mainly with Mrs Cjelli (I've caught some episodes with them) and now we're looking for the next show to watch together. It's a funny age, as he's too big for kids shows, but not old enough for the sex, violence and profanity in so many series we want to watch.

What do you recommend for an inbetween show we'll all enjoy?
