Amazon Prime rather than Netflix.
Adventure or Luxury
Russ Malkin, experienced television adventurer and Charley Speed, award-winning supermodel are chalk and cheese when it comes to travel. Russ is an all-out adventurer and thrill seeker but Charley feels at home basking in luxury. They’re both travelling the world, pitting super-cars against off-road-bikes, rock-climbing against sailing in ultra-luxury super-yachts trying to highlight the best from each style of travel. Each episode features their journeys through a country, shining a spotlight on the best that it has to offer to travel lovers everywhere.

I've watched the first couple so far and enjoyed what I've seen. Has similarities to Long Way Round/Down but sufficiently fresh at the same time.

Annihilation is a beauty, finally a decent straight to Netflix 'original after an off run of form lately.

Paramount really dropped the ball with this one though, made to be watched in a cinema with the best possible audio. I found the last 20 minutes utterly mesmerising and unlike anything I've ever seen.

Has Seven Seconds been mentioned yet?
Very good about a black kid who’s the hit and run victim of NY cop and the ensuing cover up.

The Outsider - not too bad a film about the Yakuza. It is a bit slow in places and a bit jumbled but it does pass the time

it passes time, it daming with faint praise.... I thought it was awful... I only stuck with it because I couldn't believe it would continue and end without something interesting happening...

I watched The Ritual last night. Pretty good for a horror, although found the last 20mins or so a bit disappointing...was good up until then though!

Didn't do it for me, kinda good premise, but didn't deliver for me, the last half hour made me want to go back 20 years and drop some acid, then it would be awesome!

6.5/10

Thanks for this, have saved to my list along with the Patton Oswalt stand up show of the same name! biggrin

Definitely not for everyone, I guess that's why it's on Netflix and not at the cinema. That said, far more coherent and ambitious than Red Sparrow and that's in theatres, so maybe it just needed Jennifer Lawrence.

Very ‘Solaris’.

If you liked that then you’ll like this. If you didn’t like that then you’ll hate this.

Annihilation

What a load of utter st. Definitely one of the worst films I`ve struggled through for a long time. No redeeming features at all.

I liked Solaris btw.

I thought it was pretty good. I'd have preferred a different lead actress though.

On a slightly lighter jokeyier theme... Buddy Thunderstruck....bare with me as I try to explain the concept. It's a kinda Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox animation style mashed with a kinda truck racing/NASCARish/Ricky Bobby/southern/Duke of Hazard/My Name Is Earl type scrapes and shenanigans. It's a little bit juvenile but slapstick humour abounds

Everything Sucks!

I gave up on The Heist as the dubbing got too annoying and I felt the story line dropped off.

I've realised that I prefer the simplier teen-type sort of shows compared to the heavy thriller dramas.

Same here, watched it last night. Looking forward to being wowed by Dolby Vision and 4K.

Didn't feel it at all.
