Just watch Virunga. Eye opening and sad. Tickling the gorillas made me laugh though but really felt for the bloke when they got invaded and when he lost one of them.
Me too - good documentary, quite sobering and made me think just how much we take for granted living here...Rick101 said:
Watched first episode of TPB last night. The odd laugh but not sure I'll continue. Wasn't what I expected at all.
For me I had to give it a bit of time so I got to know the characters - It wasn't until about halfway through the first season that I started to get into it - after that, couldn't stop watching it. At about 20 minutes per episode you can get through it pretty quick.Lost soul said:
I found "20 Feet From Fame " last night its a documentary about backing singers , very enjoyable watch
Been meaning to watch this for ages - I just watched it tonight, what a brilliant documentary. Some incredible singers on there with a real passion for what they do, loved it.Watched 'Cold In July' last night on Canadian region (not sure if it's on any other region, I didn't look) - Good film, and whilst I though that the story was pretty much mapped out from the first 5-10 minutes (homeowner shoots a burglar in his house, father of burglar comes to terrorise the family, blah blah), the story evolved into something completely different, and whilst a little disturbing, I really enjoyed it.
Watched Guvnors on UK region last night - wasn't expecting much as I thought it would just be another cheap naff football hooligan film but really enjoyed it. It was about an old 'firm' being challenged by some young scrotes looking for some kudos on a hellhole estate in London, was well acted, and a good story...Not quite up there with Harry Brown but worth a watch

Tried this the other night based on recommendations here.
Great documentary and heartbreaking to see the decline of the two Aussie lads.
Just watched this too, excellent documentary, whilst also very sad how 2 brothers could get themselves to the top of their game only to crash and burn so dramatically through drugs - quite shocking the turn of events in the younger brothers life particularly. Thanks for recommending thisGreat documentary and heartbreaking to see the decline of the two Aussie lads.
'Let's Be Cops' is on Canada region - don't normally like these sort of films, but actually quite enjoyed this one. 2 friends dress as cops for fancy dress party, then find that people believe they are actual cops so make the most of being able to get people to do what they want, but then get themselves into a spot of bother with local mobsters. An easy 'brain out' film that gives a few laughs

Watched The Changeling last night - Seen it before, but a fantastic film based on a true story about a woman back in the 1920's who's son is abducted, then the police find him and return him back to her, but it isn't actually her son. There follows a story of how the police try to cover their arses and get her committed to a mental institution, and then the truth coming out about her sons whereabouts, the levels of police corruption.
I remember I really couldn't be bothered to watch this first time round, but so glad I did. Absolutely gripping from start to finish

Started watching iZombie on US Netflix. Quite enjoying it so far.
Doctor becomes zombie, gets job in morgue, eats brains and uses flashes of the deceased's memory to solve their murder.
Sounds pretty rubbish, but put this on last night and quite enjoyed it. Am up to episode 4 now and so far so good Doctor becomes zombie, gets job in morgue, eats brains and uses flashes of the deceased's memory to solve their murder.
