Anyone else watching fastest car?

seen the first 4 episodes now and its quite interesting for petrol heads, 3 'sleepers' race against a supercar in each episode with what sounds like a huge race at the end of the series at a dry lake bed in California.

Its rather light on technical info so you never learn the bhp of every car or what the 1/4 mile times are and some of the so called sleepers are more like hot rods, but every person entering a sleeper is a massive car enthusiast who have spent years building cars for the 1/4 mile. The supercar owners can be quite interesting...
I quite enjoyed this too, the divorce lawyer with the lambo was very cringey though...

Glad he lost, no idea what he was thinking when he took off like that so early! Would have been better if he had actually raced and lost properly though
Wow what a car and a couple, the car was equally as insane as the couple laugh the Viper owner also seemed like some sort of Texas lunatic..

Finished the series, good watch in the end with some very interesting cars but a little more technical information on each build would have been nice

I thought that. I thought it looked like a good gritty ex-cop turned vigilante/hitman type thing, then that stupid flying unicorn turned up and I thought "Well, that's ruined it"

Stuck out the rest of the episode, and loved it. Think I've got 2 episodes left. It's been great.
This. I'd urge Gretchen to stick at it. The innocent unicorn isn't quite so innocent.
I get that. It’s literally the animation. I’d rather the unicorn were a man in a unicorn suit. Or just an invisible figment. Mixing cartoon and live action doesn’t work for me.
Today I have mostly been watching Happy. All the way through smile .

Thought it was great, the animation took the first episode to get used to, after that I was well into it. The animation, and the interaction, is a bit Roger Rabbit, but 3D.

The Project

Docu-film about a private army being recruited and trained in Northern Somalia to hunt Pirates.

Quite an eye-opener and well worth a watch.

Started Rain last night - Danish thriller similar in premise to 28 Days Later - 2 teens join a group of survivors of a water-borne viral epidemic after spending years in an underground bunker.

2 episodes in and so far we've enjoyed it, I want to throttle Rasmus though....

I got to episode 5 last night (best episode I’ve seen so far) - can’t say I’m hooked, but will definitely watch the rest

Watched LA 92 last night, documentary about the Rodney King police brutality that triggered huge riots in LA, quite graphic scenes but interesting watch to see how it all developed.

Cant believe the police got away with that and can understand the frustrations, don't agree that what happened as a result of the verdict was the best reaction, but can see how it just spiraled out of control.

Why would it be impossible? Not asking in an arsey way, just wondering! The whole thing is fairly preposterous to be fair but I sort of like it.

Just finished it, it was all a bit meh. I normally like this kind of series, but it was all a bit predictable and no likeable characters to get invested in. Shame, as I thought it sounded quite promising...

Just finished Fastest Car. Interesting and a refreshing format but you could see the scripting. And i couldn't see past the overdubbing of engine sound on the electric car

Watched the next three days. Very good if a little fragmented.

Just started watching "SAFE". Pretty good so far and surprised that Michael C. Hall is just about pulling off an English accent. I think this has legs.

We’ve just finished watching The Rain. Enjoyed it. After I’d gotten over the dubbing. Predictable yes, but great soundtrack and potential for a second series.

Why didn't you watch it in the native Danish / (Swedish?) with subs?
