I see your post was after 2am, I finished it at 1am this morning. Once you start it you can't stop watching; it really is compelling viewing.
Well put together, helped by very articulate survivors who between them capture the variety of human responses to the most unreal of circumstances. They have clearly (and obviously) spent a lot of time reflecting on it and that depth comes across in the documentary. That, together with just how quickly everything actually happened, makes for a very powerful piece of filmmaking as you say.
I was the same, it randomly caught my eye late Sunday evening and once I started I couldn’t stop. All those featured had some remarkable and harrowing stories to tell. Everything about it was horrific, I can’t even begin to imagine what it would have been like but all those in the hostage situation in the Bataclan, wow!!!!’Well put together, helped by very articulate survivors who between them capture the variety of human responses to the most unreal of circumstances. I know a few guys who work for Beat the Street, which is a tour bus company for bands and their crew. It was one of their buses outside the Bataclan that night, the driver was told to lock himself in and lay on the floor. Luckily he wasn’t inside the gig when the terrorists stormed it.
Finished The Staircase last night. Another good documentary from Netty.
Both my girlfriend and I thought he probably did it. At least there was no way she sustained all those injuries from just falling down the stairs.
However, we both agreed that we probably could say without reasonable doubt that he definitely did it, do probably wouldn't have convicted him.
Also not sure why the police felt the need to be so dodgy!

Just finished watching The Horn last night, not sure if its also on UK Netflix as I'm living in Austria, but its a 6 part documentary series about the mountain rescue team in Switzerland based around the Matterhorn.
Was interesting to see and some impressive rescues.
It is on UK Netflix and sounds interesting, I'll check it out.Was interesting to see and some impressive rescues.
I can only imagine how rewarding their jobs are and to perform them in a location like they do. Fantastic!
Edit to add: Sinner. Recommended by a mate at work. Binged it. Decent if a little random ending.

Because they knew full well that they would not have got a conviction on actual facts alone. They had to make up and provide evidence that would sway the jury, and that’s what they did. Remember, he was not popular with the local police before all this happened.

Highly recommend "People just do nothing"
Behind the "chav" exterior is a very clever and well written comedy series about a bunch of disillusioned but likeable young lads running a pirate radio station in a london towerblock, the show has had me in stitches multiple times.
Picture the office set in a council estate and that's a good start.
Very, very funny. Despite it's excellent reviews it doesn't seem to have found a mainstream audience, but i rather like that.
I went to school with Allan Mustafa (Grindah) and he was a funny guy at school. The way he speaks in PJDN is exactly how he speaks in real life along with the enthusiasm for everything too. Brilliant! that fits in with how natural the humour and dialogue feels in the show. Started series 4 on the weekend, and it's just as good as the first 3...nice to see character arcs developing.
Struggling to get past EP1 of PJDN.... Should i struggle on? I always have ago at those folk that kill a show based on the first EP. It is cos i'm Glaswegian???

Me too but that didnt stop me hearing the noise which was almost worse.
I know exactly what you mean. I can still hear it. Excellent movie though - really enjoyed it.
That bit was the by far the worst of the gruesome parts, I hadn't expected it to be like that before it started, as soon as the opening scene came up with the guy slitting the others throat then it set the tone early on!
