BTW with Netflix, can I search for films released in a particular year ?
A database you can search by year here: https://uk.newonnetflix.info/catalogue/year

(It's generally great for searching by IMDB rating etc also)

Dubbing ruins almost anything. Just try watching a dubbed version of the Simpsons and you'll see how much it loses in the process.

The only thing you need to watch out for is that the subtitles often lose a lot of the dialogue & can miss out bits that you might need. Though the dubbed version is usually different from both the subtitles and the original!
My TV life is subtitles. I could opt for headphones, and probably will later. I've got to the stage where I enjoy films but it was a struggle.

The tones of voice help with interpretation.

It is a shame life doesn't have subtitles.

Brooklyn 99.

No idea how I never watched this before but I love it.
Yeah, this is a fantastic series. 20 mins episodes, great characters, perfect binge watching.
One of the best comedy series ever imo.
Had withdrawal symptoms when that finished, we use so many of the lines from that show in real life. Watch The Good Place once you've finished 99, takes a couple of episodes to really get into but only because 99 was so awesome. Not a doctor.

Started watching Ozark last night after seeing it mentioned on here a few times. Never even noticed it on Netflix and considering I've watched plenty of similar programs it's never come up in my suggested things to watch!

Absolutely love it! A brilliant mix of it being pretty dark while at the same time being quite amusing in bits too! I can feel a binge coming on!

Likewise, I'm through the first three episodes and enjoying it a lot.

Paradise PD does get a bit cleverer as it goes, the first episodes are nowhere near the strongest.

Probably not to everyone's taste though.

I've started watching Paradise PD. I don't usually get that type of humour but found myself laughing out loud at some of it. Not one for when the kids are in earshot though.

Another in me and the wife started is the first season of American horror story. I'm quite the pussy with this stuff and will admit as an adult male as waking up during the night and having to pluck up the courage to put the light on.

Same here.
Must say I'm warming to the hillbilly girl.
Some good casting.

At this stage I have no idea what direction this will head.
Hope he teams up with the hillbilly girl and kills the bad boss man.
No doubt will dull down for a few seasons before that lol

Noticed Iron Fist S2 is on now. Definitely the weakest of the Defenders lineup four characters for me, so a little apprehensive to start.

Will finish the plodding and really quite rubbish Innocents first. But I always finish the series, anyone else like that?

I’m the same. Currently in episode 5 of Iron Fist. I’m not particularly hooked.

7 seconds.

I took a punt despite only having 3 stars (I think?) but other than a slow start it has been quite enjoyable. A bit of a cliched premise but entertaing enough to hold my attention. Just going to start watching the final episode.

Fauda S2 finished. Pretty good over all but the ending felt a bit rushed.
