Anyone started the new series of house of cards yet?

Won't feel right without Kevin Spacey
Yes, and you’re right, it doesn’t.

Claire is a decent character, but Francis was the show IMO.

Has anyone watched Scorpion?

Just finished the Pilot and although a little cheesy, it’s decent enough.

Yes I've watched the whole thing. It's not very good at all. I'm telling my friends to not bother as there is better stuff to watch. Unless you're scraping the barrel a bit.

Two episodes down and yeah it’s a shadow of its former self. Mainly because they’ve changed Claire’s character - she used to be single minded, ruthless, focussed and now she’s getting manipulated from Ep1.

Scotland's tigers, bit of a con really as not much footage about wild cats, but loads of good photography and history of Scotland.

The g/f and I started watching Marcella this last week. I'd not see it advertised anywhere before. A few odd plot twists, and we got the "one that did it" about half way through the first series. Overall though, worth a watch.
Had to watch it since my son was in it but found it pretty dire

I felt the same when I watched a programme about the Welsh 'tiger economy' a while back.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Basically Generation Z does Buffy, so expect all the usual hot topics to be covered/cast and it to be nothing like as good. Both angsty and generally quite beige, the one stereotype that isn't tackled is the casting of the posh English bloke as the baddy...

Michelle Gomez hams it up beautifully as the cougarish, two faced evil witch demon thing and my 12 year old son (the target audience afterall) is really enjoying it. Just the right amount of scare for him.

All in all, not something you'd rush to watch yourself, but certainly good enough to watch with your teenage kids.

Wynonna Earl has already grabbed that crown - it's basically the same core show as Buffy just dressed up in different clothes.

Surprisingly good too.

Which character did your son play? Intrigued.

LOL not a character just an extra, he spent a Sunday in a parcel depot in Slough with a mate, footage of which was used in a couple of episodes, found the whole thing tedious but had a good chat with the guy from Harry Potter (Josh Herdman) who he thought was a nice guy.

The Last Man on the Moon

An interesting film about Gene Cernan, though I thought it was a bit light on the details of the man himself. Some good archive footage of the Apollo programme. Worth a watch if you like this sort of thing.

Finished making a murderer last night.

Bit long winded in the middle, I went from on the fence to thinking he didn’t do it. I guess that’s what the makers want.

I went from on the fence to total indifference. By the end I was watching it just so I could say I'd finished it - it had about 3 more episodes than I felt it needed.

I watched a couple of these over the weekend, but with no teenagers to excuse my viewing selection! hehe

I was expecting far less focus on the 'witchery' element and for the whole thing to be more lighthearted and comedic as per the original TV series. The fact that it wasn't is to it's credit and I've found myself quite keen to continue watching.

It was a bit of a surprise to see Lucy Davis (aka Dawn out the Office) doing a turn as one of the Aunts.
