Operation Odessa was great ,we was on holiday and the took us on a boat tour and showed us two subs that had been confiscated from drug lords ????
Cheers for this one Loved all the talk about the cars & helicopters - sounds like a totally bonkers era and crazy world to be wrapped up.
What did the actual confiscated subs look like? (were they big) They were talking about planning on shifting 40 Tons of drugs in them.
I just could'nt comprehend the stuff they were talking about and obviously couldn't tell if any of it was exaggerated for effect - but the photos of the submarines looked like old nails (although anything that spends its life in the sea is going to look pretty knackered quickly)
Not sure those lads know how lucky they are to still be alive.
To have been in that 'game', at that level, with those sorts of people, for that long, and never having upset someone sufficiently to reach the low threshold of being shot and dumped in the everglades is pretty impressive.

I had never watched Norsemen yet, I always assumed it was a serious Vikings rival as I had never read about it or watched any trailers, but its a comedy vikings show. I should have watched it sooner as I thought it was really good, some really funny bits in it. Would highly recommend.
A lot of the same cast and producers made Lillehammer which is also excellent.Edited by Lazermilk on Monday 26th November 13:41
It’s about a mafia boss that ends up living in Norway.
Finished Narcos Mexico, falls short of the earlier series and feels abit slow or even watered down compared to El Chapo but still enjoyable
Den of Thieves - enjoyable heist movie, it might fall short of similar movies like Heat and The Town but its still a solid effort
Arrival - Stunning cinematography, one of the most original sci-fi films i have seen and one of the best

Shame they stopped it after just 3 seasons, hopefully Norsemen carries on, only 6 episodes per season is easily binged!

Operation Odessa
Probably the most entertaining documentary I have ever watched. It's about a group of Miami drug traffickers making a deal with the Russians to buy a submarine.
This was amazing. I couldn't believe it was true. The balls on those guys. Probably the most entertaining documentary I have ever watched. It's about a group of Miami drug traffickers making a deal with the Russians to buy a submarine.
Think i'll watch that again.
Really enjoyed that so thanks for the suggestion guys.

We have just finished watching the first season of 'The Good Place', gentle humour and just 20 minutes an episode so an easy early evening watch. I think there are 3 seasons available.
Well covered in this thread. We all have a crush on Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, or in my case, both.SpeckledJim said:

Well covered in this thread. We all have a crush on Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, or in my case, both.Started watching Hangman with Al Pacino and got to the part where the detective goes in the building and the reporter follows him in despite him telling her to wait outside. Turned it straight off and read the IMDB ratings...which I should have done before pressing play
Going to look for a film for tonight as my lab had his cruciate operated on today and seems to be in some discomfort. Maybe a long night.

I watched it a couple of days ago and quite enjoyed it. You definitely had to suspend belief a bit (well, a lot) but it was reasonable entertaining.Going to look for a film for tonight as my lab had his cruciate operated on today and seems to be in some discomfort. Maybe a long night.
