..Thanks for the replies and recommendations for a detective series. Some I've watched or I'm aware of, others I will explore. Cheers.
Line of Duty is excellent but each series is about 6 hours long in total, Another one not mentioned is Hinterland, with less episodes per series and mostly separate cases each episode.Bullett said:
Nightflyers - Joint Netflix and SyFy thing based on a George R.R. Martin story looks interesting, not out in the UK yet the advert is up and says 2018.
Looks like it aired on the 2nd Dec in the U.S. Reviews seem to be mediocre for the critics but generally positive from viewers.

Episode 1 and the stty finger in the slaves mouth had me in bits and set the standard lol. Well worth a watch.
I watched it a week or two ago, absolutely brilliant, the humour reminds me of Blackadder. Episode 1 and the stty finger in the slaves mouth had me in bits and set the standard lol. Well worth a watch.

Is 1983 worth a watch? It looks like a cold war era Man in the High Castle type thing, maybe without the SciFi element?
We're 4 episodes in, it's OK but pretty hard to follow and quite slow paced. I can't decide if I like it or not but we're sticking with it, so make of that what you will.Mark Benson said:

I'm halfway through episode 2. I do find it kind of intriguing though, the alternative cold war timeline thing. I like the aesthetic as well, especially about 3/4 of the way into Episode 1 when the cold war totalitarian visuals suddenly get a jolt of cyberpunk to them when he's going through the city. I'll keep pressing on with it. Steamer said:
Punisher
Totally new to me as I'm into anything Marvel based, but this caught my attention.
Loved it! The action scenes are great and frequent - just on the edge of being a tad gruesome.
Pretty much binged it all over 3 days.

Am a bit disappointed with content on Netflix tbh. I us the US Netflix and although it's got more than the UK, it's still not that good for popular films.
Loads and loads to browse through, though if I've ever searched for something specific, guaranteed it's not there.
I signed up last week as I was getting annoyed with kodi. So far found it crap TBH and wont be going past the 30 day trialLoads and loads to browse through, though if I've ever searched for something specific, guaranteed it's not there.

I use both Kodi (with Real debrid approx £3 a month) and Netflix (but signed up via Turkey so approx £4.50 a month instead of £8).Netflix is useful for ease of accessing their quality Originals such as Narcos, Ozark, etc, and there's also some good films from time to time such as Annihilation and Buster Scruggs.
The biggest issue I have with Netflix is the interface in terms of what it recommends to watch. I normally search for something on Rotten Tomatoes first because the Netflix percentages are pretty useless. Also, the lists seems to be in a different order every time I use it. Maybe I'm just not using the interface properly.
Some of the Netflix bought-in stuff is disappointing. I'd rather see more quality stuff like Castle Rock and less rubbish like Designated Survivor.

Treasures from the wreck of the unbelievable.
Wow,,, just wow. What an amazing story.
i watched it as wellWow,,, just wow. What an amazing story.
it just seemed so unreal, the white people taking the treasures from Africa, sealed it for me, as hirst mentioned Venice plundering art to sell it as its own, devoid of it's real history. Finding the gold seemed unreal, when the real true treasures were the statues, in situ. a very clever pisstake. it seems done brilliantly by the artist. great message really. great art
