Netflix - What gems have you found?
Discussion
Started watching Sex Education last weekend and have just got through the final two episodes tonight. Despite it only being in my life for seven days, I now feel like there’s something missing. I thought it was absolutely wonderful and enjoyed every moment of it. Looking forward to the prospect of a second series already.

Don’t know if Sex Education has been mentioned yet, but I found it quite watchable.
It was brilliant. One of my favourite programs of the last 12 months. Hope there’s a 2nd season.Drew106 said:
Haha. Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction watching it too!
I'd heard about the Ted Bundy tapes. Didn't realize it was out already. Will probably start that tonight. Loving all the true crime docs on Netflix at the moment.
I thought I had seen all the Ted Bundy stuff but this is really quite detailed and shows just how disturbed he really was. there is a lot of footage with him in it and you can make your own mind up about just how off the charts insane he was. His Mother at the end of the series is visited by the author of the book about him and they played a tape where he confessed to the killings and his mother was clearly upset but then a switch flicked and she said " ok who is for Apple Pie and ice Cream" so he wasn't the only member of that family who had "issues".I'd heard about the Ted Bundy tapes. Didn't realize it was out already. Will probably start that tonight. Loving all the true crime docs on Netflix at the moment.

Thanks for the recommendation, watched this last night and it was captivating. I did wonder how this man had ever got into a position like this to get funding and peoples money. Then it all clicked that he had been at a con for a long time and it caught up with him. Living a fantasy world through social media. TBH 6 years seems quite tame for the states.
I agree. It’s a comment on social media and the influence influencers have on people. It’s a classic story about the power of advertising and consumerism and people wanting to buy into a lifestyle. Fascinating to watch and well worth watching.
I was also surprised at only 6 years. Especially given the parents of the people he embarrassed / ripped-off / put at risk will in many cases have been powerful and influential people.
Watched Fyre. Unbelievable display of utter ineptitude but 10/10 for ambition and execution of relieving folkd of vast amounts of cash.
Well played by Mr Ja Rule though to come out of it all smelling of roses, well played indeed.
What scared me most was the power of social media. By the so called "Influencers" posting an orange tile that almost caused Coachella to suffer as the promoters wanted to get the acts out!!!
Blink 182 seemed to see it coming!

yes Ja rule is being sued in a related case. Also it shows the con artist, who agreed to be filmed for a fee, committing actual wire fraud. the netflix one is lightweight in comparison.
Think i need to watch that for balance. How dows one get to see it being in the UK and not a Hulu subscriber?Davie_GLA said:

Unfortunately, despite the huge amount of chatter currently surrounding Hulu’s film, Fyre Fraud, there’s still no legal way of watching the film in UK.

I've been tempted to try Netflix but been put off by the lack of variety as regards to older shows. Looked at a full list of shows and films available within the UK and wasn't impressed at the amount of TV series that aren't available, rather poor choice. Netflix only has a few episodes of Only Fools and Horses, mainly from the later series; why can't they include every episode/series?. I've heard Itunes has some of the episodes. Other British comedies like Open All Hours and Last of the Summer Wine aren't even available - why?. I know you could probably find some of these shows on other streaming sites such as Amazon Prime, etc, but that means you're forking out more money just to watch episodes that aren't available on the one you're subscribed. Just another way of making money. And I suppose the studios aren't gonna lose out on DVD sales if people can get it on download.
