Sex Education.
Really like this, sat with the wife watching it and we soon rattled through a few episodes. First episode a little slow I guess, but the characters were all really likeable, Eric was like Andi Peters on steroids lol!
Funny in places, but some oddly serious parts as you get further in.
Agree on the setting, Wales is lovely, 80's clothes, iPads, American look....weird, but works.
Loved this bit
"I've been wking all night, I ate four packets of crumpets and I think my clit might drop off" worst thing is, that girl looks almost idenitcal to my son's girlfriend only a few years older!

I've been binging on it! Wasn't sure about it after about 80% through E1 and then it really clicked. Love it and that quote above - hilarious!Really like this, sat with the wife watching it and we soon rattled through a few episodes. Was thinking of starting travelers then I’ve just Wes it’s being cancelled after season 3. Still worth it?
Don’t want to have another situation like bloodline and it’s stty, rushed ending.
it is ?? Don’t want to have another situation like bloodline and it’s stty, rushed ending.
... I'm still shaking my fist at Bloodline ending.. bah.
Yes, id say travellers is still worth watching ... shame if they have canned it... ended well in S3...

‘Hurricane’ about a Polish squadron in BoB. Interesting story but I’m sure that the flying sequences may have some of the more ‘expert’ viewers spluttering a bit.
Thanks for that - would have been annoyed if I missed it.Loved it. Ashamed to say I didn't realise how badly they were treated.

Just binge-watched Sunderland 'Til I Die. 8 episode documentary following Sunderland in the Championship last season. No spoiler alert needed as we all know what happened, but it is nevertheless compulsively watchable. You'll actually find yourself rooting for them even if you're not a Sunderland fan and almost hoping there's a different ending to the one you obviously know will happen.
Same here albeit not quite a binge-watch. It took less than a week though and I loved it. One problem - I just cannot get the intro music out of my head.
Not a terribly bad thing as it's just gorgeous.

A couple of interesting situations as well that I was totally unaware of were the guy on 70k a week that wanted to play but didn't want to give up his contract, the drink driver, the sacking of multiple managers, the CEOs daily grind... all very fascinating.

He's a local lad. If you like that one you'll most probably like all of his other stuff. North View and Vane Tempest are my favourites of his.One problem - I just cannot get the intro music out of my head.

As for the documentary, as a Sunderland season ticket holder, it was actually quite cathartic viewing.
My claim to fame is that I'm mates with Frank who painted Raich Carter who you see in the credits/that video. I have a large butterfly piece by him in my bedroom which I put on the art on walls thread. Very talented guy.
Back on topic, this sounds good!

Big budget Korean thriller set in the middle ages which is a blend of Game of Thrones meets the Walking Dead, except the zombies run and everything is fast paced. Brilliant, about as original as it gets

Thanks for that! I'll definitely be looking at more of this guy's work. Hopefully this Netflix series will get him some wider recognition. As for the documentary, as a Sunderland season ticket holder, it was actually quite cathartic viewing.
The first FA Cup I remember watching was 1973 and a man-crush on Niall Quinn after reading his 2002/3 autobiography (recommended) has resulted in me keeping an eye on Sunderland's fortunes ever since.
I'm a bit of a plastic fan, then, I'm afraid!
Really do hope they get back where they belong.

Anyone tried Nightflyer yet?
It should be right up my street, but I struggled to get through 50% of the first episode before I switched it off.
I enjoyed it, had an Event Horizon feel to it.It should be right up my street, but I struggled to get through 50% of the first episode before I switched it off.
ep1-2 were decent, 3-4 getting worse, 5 is just ridiculous and badly done.

Off-topic, but it seems almost everyone in Sunderland knows Frank Styles! Me excluded, but I do know his work. Hard not to in this town. Johnny Raydome said:

The Lake Poets / Marty Longstaff, has a good local following. Gets across to Germany a bit, too. He's under the wing, or was, of Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), but hasn't quite hit the big time.
Back on topic - Watched Abducted last night. Very weird. Worth a watch just for the absurdity of it all.

Russian doll, interesting.
Saw it has good reviews, I must be missing something as my wife and I watched episode one and neither of us could be bothered to put episode two on afterwards.Guess we’re all different.
