Better than i expected. Mrs Prolex likes this type...normally its headphones on and kindle time..
Watched The Dirt the other day
Really enjoyed it. In the same vein as Bohemian Rhapsody its a little walk through the formation and history of Motley Crue. I am not old enough to have properly grown up with their 80s stuff and in the 90s I was all about dance/house music. But these days, I quite like the 80s metal/glam rock/rocl/whatever.
First sort of minute sets the tone really well.
And you spend a lot of the time wondering how these people were actually able to function at all, let alone play instruments. I mean that guy Nicky Sixx? actually died and was brought back by 2 Adrenalin shots....then went right back onto shooting up. Mental. A friend tells me he's seen interviews from people like the bus drivers and limo drivers and that the Netflix film doesn't even tell the half of it! They were absolutely off the rails.

I also enjoyed that, a decent enough story and a few amusing scenes to give you some idea of the lifestyle of that era. Really enjoyed it. It took me a while but eventually twigged the guitarist was played by the bloke who was Ramsay Bolton in GOT.
Also the portrayal of Ozzy Osbourne was one of the most apalling bits of acting I've ever seen.

Would The Dirt be a good watch if you aren't into the music and didn't grow up in that era?
i loved it and not a motley crue fan, didn't know much about them. loved the ozzie cameo .ashleyman said:

White collar looks promising. Is is worth investing in?
Yes. I imagine it might be a bit dated now as it is a few years old but it's good viewing!BrabusMog said:

Yes. I imagine it might be a bit dated now as it is a few years old but it's good viewing!I'm just saying it was on tv 2009-2014 so it might feel a bit old - in that tech phase of going from flip phones to iPhones etc...
Rita was a good call from whoever recommended it, 4 seasons too so should keep us going for a while.
I worked in Denmark for a few years on and off and ended up spending a lot of my free time with collegues and their families, Rita reminds me a lot of that time. I like the Danish sense of himour.
Also, Turn Up Charlie is decent light entertainment, not taxing and a bit formulaic but only 30 minute episodes so useful as 'filler' if we don't have a lot of time to kill.
