Mind hunter S2. Anyone watched it. S1 was pretty good
Yeah series 2 is really good. I think it’s even a bit darker than series 1.
Excellent, enjoyed the first.
We dipped back in to series 1 again for a refresh before series 2. Ended up going back to the absolute beginning and watching 4 hours worth. Truly brilliant series and if 2 (and beyond) is as good we have a long-term classic on our hands...

Shooter

Watched the first couple - enjoyed the silliness of the original film and this seems to be a carbon copy.

Enjoyable, not very hard work - does it carry on as well?
IMDb says 7.3 but lots of reviews say s2 and s3 aren’t so good.

Fahrenheit 11/9

USA has some seriously screwed up things going down.
Couldn’t believe the Flint water thing!
What Obama did there showed his true colours, what a skumbag. No wonder lots of the black community didn't vote in the last election.
Sorry didn't see this post and yes definitely screwed up politicians.
I had to switch it off, it was rather one sided which was a shame really

What other side is there to what happened in flint?

Moore was pretty balanced about how the USA ended up with Trump, he blames the Democrats for it and predicted it.

He does, but the way he puts his point across is childish and crude so often that it becomes a tough watch for some people, myself included. I gave up.

Is it work suitable? Downloaded Archer from comment above and that was tad iffy for work, watching on tablet with curry.

The Drop.

James Gandolfini as a bar owner involved with a local drugs cartel.

Some great twists and turns - recommended.

Another vote for The Drop.

It’s quite clever and you might need to watch it a couple of times to pick up on all of the clues throughout.

Very much depends on your workplace I think. Should be fine with headphones, but perhaps wouldn't play it from the speakers.

Saw that at the cinema. Seem to recall it was a return to rorm with lots of nods to the other movies.

Watching the Obama bit made me squirm. Whoever advised him on that visit and the totally staged water-drinking should never work in politics again. That Obama himself couldn’t see how contrived and counter-productive the whole thing looked is even more staggering.

I found the film an interesting watch but Michael Moore does rub me up the wrong way a bit with his style. There’s too much of him in the film for a start. Totally unnecessary cuts to him during interviews (where he doesn’t actually say anything and looks like a melting waxwork of an old woman dressed up as Michael Moore) and I often feel he tries to lead his interviewees too much and puts his words into their mouths.

Some of the film felt to me like it was stretching history to the point of credulity. The bit about how the rise of the Third Reich saw the banishment of Communist Party ‘liberals’ from the German parliament seemed particularly clumsy.

However, all in all a worthwhile watch. And a timely reminder that however fked up we think our own political system and class are, we only need to look to the Greatest Nation on Earth to realise that things could be worse.

Decided to finally start watching it. Did 3 episodes last night. Fascinating.
