Stumbled across Spotless at the weekend and its very watchable with some great dark humour, top totty in it too.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve watched the first 4 episodes, enjoying it!

Dug out Series 2 of "The Trip" with Coogan and Brydon, it's hilarious, I'd seen the first one but the Italian one is just as good.

Second series. The BBC broadcast the first series, with Jessica Biel, last year.

Just to second what has been said before Ep 2 and Ep 3 of the Crown S3 are a lot better. I wouldn't exactly call Ep 3 enjoyable though. I had to "take a break" during that one, but it is very well done.

The Crown. I haven't watched any of it. I have been avoiding it as I fear it may be a grovelling, sickening fawn-fest. Am I right or a meringue? I am a dyed in the wool republican - should I get over myself and watch it? Is it what I fear it to be?
I doubt the royals would be all that happy with how they’re portrayed in the crown tbh.

It might not be anti enough for you but it’s certainly not a fawn fest.

I think it’s one of the best series on Netflix myself.
Agree with this. During series 1, I did perhaps think that Netflix were sympathetic to the Royals and portraying them in a good light. However, it is evident this is not the case. They are genuinely attempting to portray them factually as much as possible. Admittedly, it is a drama and some of the content is fictional, but Netflix is trying to portray them as factually as possible.

Hence my earlier comments on how they will portray Andrew in later series!
OK well I've been watching the first series over the weekend. The missus is now well into it so we'll be seeing it through I expect. It looks to me like if they crawled any further up the Queen and Philip's arses they'd come out of their ears. Perhaps the apparent polishing dissipates in later episodes/series. Not sure which episode I'm up to, but Churchill is still PM.

Just finished watching Who Killed Little Gregory. Utterly brilliant. A truly fascinating but harrowing true story.

Unbelievable and riveting.

Only thing to add is DO NOT read the titles at the end of each episode (although I don't recall seeing it on episode 1), it might be a legal thing but it tells you too much of the ending!

It tells you right at the beginning of episode 1, I think.

Cheers, if that's the case probably difficult to avoid but best if you can!

I wasn’t that keen on the second series, first with Jessica Biel was better!

I think I got half way through S2 and kinda forgot about it. Just didn't have the same appeal. Maybe that's the lack of Jessica, or just missing 'something'.

Daybreak, in 3 episodes in now and loving it.
Easy watching, some Zombie land vibes.
This post deserved a little more recognition,

Started this just recently, fun and easy to watch. Love the quips on modern culture and of nice referencing to Ferris Beuller.

Just seen The Irishman is out now, may watch this over the weekend, I like De Niro and Pacino, so hopefully this will be good....Scorsese doesn't tend to do much in the way of bad stuff.

I had planned to watch it this evening, but then saw it's 3 1/2 hours long!

One for the weekend then.

I might have to stretch it out over a few nights. Can't be doing sitting in front of TV for that long!

both 76 and still got it.

Al Pacino is 79.

They look younger, but you can see the age in their moves. Not sure, it is epic just not feeling it, will try again.
