The shoot-out scene downtown with a fully set up surround sound system is pretty epic.

Mid90s.

If you skateboard or ever did, especially in the 90s heyday, this is essential viewing, a coming of age movie centred around the LA skate scene in the... mid 90s.

It's very authentic, probably the best representation of skateboarding in fictional film i've seen, and the movie itself is great, if a little tough to watch in places. Directorial and writing debut from Jonah Hill, it very much feels autobiographical, funny and touching, and harsh.

The confession killer.

Septics are scary.

Whilst not quite as good If you liked making a murderer you'll like this.

Daybreak. Despite myself, I'm quite enjoying this.
I'm clearly not the target demographic (I'm 50 in a couple of weeks) but it's well written and witty and has Matthew Broderick as a middle aged reacher (with a nod to Ferris Bueller in the first episode).

We just started Schitts Creek on recommendation from friends, we're a few episodes in and, unusually for US comedy, finding it funny.

Watched the trailer now, looks decent.

After recommendations I started watching this, but gave up after a few episodes.

Schitt's Creek

Dad from American Pie plays obscenely wealthy businessman who loses everything overnight and has to move his family to a backward town he bought as a joke.

Pretty good, certainly raised a few laughs, onto season 2 at the moment.
I've got through it all, not to bad. It's an nice easy watch when you just can't be bothered. The next series isn't on until January next year.
Currently watching this as well. Very “feel good” comedy and it has Catherine O Hara in it as well.

The Movies (or something like that)

Great insight to behind the scenes and interviews of those involved making some iconic films. Very well done and very insightful and entertaining.

It is. It's remarkable. But has had the effect of overshadowing so many other shooting scenes that just don't seem able to convey the violence carried within the noise.

The Town is also excellent (essentially a modern day Heat) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0840361/?ref_=ttls_li...

Inside Man is also very good - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0454848/?ref_=nv_sr_s...

You may already know this, but apparently that's because the sound you hear is from the shootout (using blanks obviously), it's not just sound effects added afterwards in a studio, so the sounds are much more realistic.

Just finished "The devil next door" A 5 part series about John Demjanjuk who may or maynot of been Ivan the terrible a nazi war criminal.

Very interesting indeed, I sort of remember the story as it happened but good to see the whole story in detail.

The lawyer Yoram Sheftel is quite a character and reminds me of Saul Goodman

Yeah, we're watching it to get away from all the murder, serial killer, abduction shows we keep on watching! Light-hearted nonsense, in a good way.

6 Underground - what a pile of absolute crap, probably one of the worst films I have seen in recent times. The amount of continuity errors is insane.

+1 from me. So much money spent for so little. All the budget went on the locations and effects which left 50p for the plot and script. It could have been so good........... We finished watching as the locations and cinematography was big budget but the plot holes and continuity were just too much to overlook. What a turkey.

Also watched 6 underground. Pretty st but it’s Michael Bay - it was never gonna win any awards.
