The Two Popes - not my usual cup of tea and no idea if it’s true to life but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was utterly superb IMO. It's good to know films this good can still exist. With two main actors of that calibre it was always going to be good, but it was way beyond that and quite moving in parts.

I am watching the greatest moments of WWII in colour at the moment. The Midway battle was fascinating, I learnt a lot. Plus just how luck/chance won it for the allies. Incredible.

Movies that changed us. I skipped the dirty dancing one for now but watched Home alone, Ghostbusters and Die hard. Its interviews with cast and crew and quite interesting.

The Witcher.

Not for me.
Managed half hour but couldn’t take any more.

I'm hoping it will improve but some bizarre choices for the opening episode for me.

The focus should have been Geralt and if they were going to give the young girl's storyline so little development then it should have been shown as quick flashback scenes.

Don't avoid the DD one because of the film itself. It's a fascinating story.

I think to a degree the Americans made their own luck - trusting instinct etc as to where the fleet was heading and where the pilots should search later. If that's what you're referring to. Do you mention the actual title of the program? I'd like to catch it if possible. smile
