I am watching the greatest moments of WWII in colour at the moment. The Midway battle was fascinating, I learnt a lot. Plus just how luck/chance won it for the allies. Incredible.
I think to a degree the Americans made their own luck - trusting instinct etc as to where the fleet was heading and where the pilots should search later. If that's what you're referring to. Do you mention the actual title of the program? I'd like to catch it if possible. smile
He did mention the title of the programme.
How helpful of you.
Greatest Events of WWII in Colour

smile
I got there in the end with the help of Google but thank you. smile

What isn't explained is who is the second person in the python video.
It's a neighbour. Deanna confirmed on twitter.

Were a bit late to it but thoroughly enjoying The Crown.

Don't f with cats is gripping and disturbing in equal measure.

If you like a bit of stand up I'd recommend looking up the specials for these 3:-

Jim Gaffigan
Tom Sugura
Bert Kreischer

Jim doesn't swear at all but he's actually the funniest. The other 2 are a bit more adult but I also really enjoyed them both.

Post up anymore similar if you like the above and found something equally as good.

Just finished Dont F*ck with Cats. Amazing and brilliantly made. A truly sick story. The detective work from the internet sleuths was superb from start to finish.

I spend a fair amount of time on the web and I remember the original cats in a bag and cat and python videos. People were going apest. I also remember the internet blowing up over 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick and I remember hearing about the mailing of body parts to the Canadian PM. What I'm surprised about is I never heard the resolution of the story until now and I never realised all those things were linked.

Spoiler tags are to protect key events for anyone that hasn't seen it and doesnt know the full story.

I finished Don't fk with cats. Interesting stuff and the power of the internet / social media at it's best, or worst if you're up to no good.

Reminded of this place a few years ago where some people had the knack of getting to the bottom of something dodgy in under a day.

Anyway, did i see that right that Toronto police set up their own "Secret" facebook page for this group of vigilantes to upload evidence to? Facebook, the most abused platform ever and anything but secret?

Anyway, a good result. Putting the dots together on a seriously cool scale.

Finished When They See Us yesterday morning.

All I can say is Wow. Scary, riveting, back to scary, and if it wasn't true you'd never believe it could have happened.

The Witcher.

Not for me.
Managed half hour but couldn’t take any more.
I'm hoping it will improve but some bizarre choices for the opening episode for me.

The focus should have been Geralt and if they were going to give the young girl's storyline so little development then it should have been shown as quick flashback scenes.
I'm partway through this at the moment and really enjoying it - however some of the flash-backs are annoying (Law of Surprise episode I'm looking at you! As an epi it was enjoyable however the whole flashback of it is annoying, IMO)

I too am enjoying this less than I thought I would, it all feels a little 'flat' (3 episodes in)

Finished it this afternoon.

I get hoping it would get better.

It didn't.

I'd be surprised if it gets renewed.

It's already renewed for Season 2 and I think your view is in the minority (not that there's anything wrong with your opinion, it's not for everyone).

We tried a bit of that Witcher, good special effects but that's commonplace these days.

Thing that put me off was the same thing that puts me off a lot of shows, far too many characters. I just can't be bothered trying to keep track of who is who, and who is trying to do what to who and why.

You’re right, season 2 is coming in 2021. I’m truly surprised. But GoT has really opened up this genre...not that you could compare the two.

I watched evil genius, very good a fair few twists and turns in it. Couldn't quite believe it was a true story. A very good documentary.

Finished a few things recently;

- The Confession Killer - thought this was great, another scary insight into US justice system 8/10
- Dream/Killer - teenager admits to a murder, and implicates his mate. No evidence whatsoever and some very very dodgy law folk - fascinating and sad 8/10
- Operation Odessa - loved this - 9/10

In the middle of Living with Yourself, decent 7/10 so far

I’m 2 episodes in to season 2 and so far it’s more of the same really.

Like The Witcher I’m not blown away by this incarnation of LiS.

I never truly feel they are “lost” in the same sense that they were in the original series or even the film.

It’s a 6/10 series for me thus far.

Destination Wedding. Quite a fun dry comedy with Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder.

So sick, but couldn't stop watching. The group that were chasing him were amazing.
