The IT Crowd binged & finished last night.

Excellent!!! One or two eps a bit meh but overall very very funny, a few had me crying:

The wheel chair/barman ep was fantastic, and Peter File. Douglas at the funeral, coffee over the tramp!! laughlaughlaugh
The episode at the theatre really is hilarious. Funny enough, when I joined Netflix years back, I binged IT Crowd also and know what you mean regarding a coupld of eps here and there are a bit meh.

I've got 1 or 2 episodes left of this. Very enjoyable, there are quite a number of between-the-lines issues that are prevalent at that stage of life, but I feel it gets these messages across without being too preachy about it. I will say though....how can there be so many gays in just 1 school hehe

RE Maeve....am I the only one who finds her really rather pretty? hehe I'm only 30, not 50....that makes it OK, right? laugh
Loving series two so far. Watching it now. First episode with the car wking scene...

And yes Maeve...stunning.

Me neither and I'm a huge cinema lover.
Spirited Away regularly appears in countdowns of greatest movies.

For example it is no 15 on Empire's list of greatest movies of the 21st century so far.
Is it suitable for my 8 year old daughter? I'll definitely give it a try but if I suggest a cartoon to Mrs Jim she might leave me.

Watched first episode of Sex Education last night. It’s a bit odd that it is a British series apparently set in an American high school in Seattle.
Season 1? Stick with it, it really is as good as people are making out. Think of it as a love letter to John Hughes.

Ach, difficult one. Suitable? Absolutely as in it's not inappropriate in any way, but I find it drags a lot in the middle to the point where younger kids (and me) can lose interest. But I think I'm very much in the minority.

Ponyo is good as a gentle introduction to the genre https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsR3KVgBzSM

Do NOT watch grave of the fireflies unless you have mentally prepared yourself laugh

Should be fine for an eight year old. Any younger and some of it could be frightening.

Where do you get Seattle from? confused
I admit it's a bit strange, being set in American style school, in the 80's but with smart phones..... but It kind of works.

One of those films that's always been on my to watch list but I've never gotten around to. No excuses not to watch it now.

It's not set in Seattle anyway, it is a complete mash up but set in Britain. It's fiction anyway, why not mash things up a bit?

I thought S2 was even better than S1. It felt like they got a good grip on what the audience liked and the strength of their cast and exploited those strengths.

I've started watching "Three Girls".

Very good so far but utterly, utterly harrowing. Absolutely despicable to think there are people out there so evil. Anyone on here seen it?

And just enough 'minorities' to ensure that there is one for every white character to date.

I dont think there is a single successful relationship that involves two people from the same cultural background is there?
