Just finished episode 4.
What an ending loved it.

After how Polly tried to give up Tommy to Alistair McGowan to save her son, I was expecting revenge on that score.
She didn't really. That date in the diary was marked with a black star, he knew the score from that. Can't remember why to back it up though.

However, I do acknowledge that if he did not survive that encounter Polly would still have waltzed off to Oz.

He's really not happy with Michael though. Lucky to get shipped off to handle the New York end of business, he'd be gone if not Polly's boy.
Black star day was the day they betrayed Billy Kimber.

Just binge watched series 3 & 4 in preparation for series 5 starting next month.

I hope it picks up because series 4 had some stupid plot twists and Alfie Soloman's end was below expectations!

I also hope Aberama Gold isn't back as his character went nowhere fast considering what he was brought in to do.

Anyone lucky enough to get tickets for tomorrow's series 5 premiere in Birmingham? The Beeb had a lottery for anyone within certain Midlands post code areas. I didn't get any.

Hopefully that means it's not too much longer before it's on TV.

I'll be honest I haven't watched Peaky Blinders since Series 1 (just never got round to watching it), but apparently Thomas Shelby is now an MP?

What the effing hell?!

It's not QUITE as WTF as it appears at first blush, seen in context and when you see exactly how Tommy made it happen.....

Think I may have to rewatch series 4 before the new series starts. I can remember the broad strokes, but the details have faded.....

I'm 'binge' watching this on iPlayer as I missed it first time around, am just about to finish series 3, it's very good so far, watched 3 episodes in a row last night. Am hooked.

I thought it was at least keeping some track of what happened with the Shelby's in real life, I thought they were all sent to prison. I didn't think they came to power - that's what I meant.

Very late to the party on this.... downloaded a few a couple of weeks ago to watch on a plane (short haul). Have now binged the whole lot. One night, I watched 3 and a half episodes in bed and switched off at nearly 4am.

Personally, although minor flaws, I thought this was excellent TV although hated the smoking - constantly fking smoking in an 'affected' way.

Wasn't keen on the Mafia hit man either

Even the Bullring bull got into the swing of it.

Was it me? Something hugely missing from tonight's episode. Have the Beeb changed the production team?

Dull. Dull. Dull.

I thought the same.

Something was missing for me.
