I'm finding this season pretty boring. Still, I've stuck with it this long, so only 2 more episodes to endure.

To be honest, it's not been great ever since the political storyline started, and Tommy becoming an MP. Should of stuck with just the criminal activities! Mind you, most MP's are just legalised criminals, I suppose.
Unfortunately, this is a well worn trope when writers run out of ideas. Happened to Prison Break, SoA and X Files.

It was a little more Peaky Blinders than Downton Abbey last night. Looks like the finale will be one big showdown. Either a really crap ending leaving lots of loose ends/option for more, or cramming too much into too little time.

From what I've read, whether true or not, this series is the preamble to a forthcoming film.

Anyone know what stage this film is at?

6 episodes of nothing much leading to film we're going to get in 2022 is bad enough, but 6 episodes of nothing much for a film that's not started production is pretty censored

yeah they're trying to cram too much in and story building for a short series with only a couple of episodes left to run. Makes sense if there is a forthcoming film but patience is wearing thin.

I think it's the last episode next week, so it's going to be rushed IMO.

Agreed. Tbh it should've ended before he became an MP.

I have enjoyed every episode of previous series, but this just seems to lack any real story or direction, is it possible that a lot of this series was hastily rewritten following Helens sad passing and as such is just not really up to scratch?

Agreed- comes to something when real world politics has me more interested than fantasy stuff!

I actually enjoyed the first episodes but found Sundays really, properly dull. Peaky Blinders by numbers. Hope last episode is much better

I’ve watched a couple of this series to catch up-really not sure if I’ll bother with anymore.
Whole of season five was dire aswell.

It's not a bad watch, Cillian Murphy is good, but Tom Hardy steals every scene he is in.
Was brilliant in Taboo also. Still available on iPlayer. smile

Well that's that then, at least until the film is released.

Enjoyed the last episode - some good twists and turns ... and of course the 'Alfie Solomon' scene was brilliant! Unfortunately, by the time the film comes out I'll have forgotten what's going on laugh

Excellent finale, made up for a pretty dull series.
