Fine by me, they look lush.

As did the madeleines, who cares if the ice cream makes them soggy - don't eat them together. Why does a John have to put everything on his fork at the same time? Is it just me who doesn't eat this way?

I agree, I'd happily scoff anything she has cooked so far, but I was thinking yesterday, has she cooked anything apart from Indian based cuisine? I bet her mum is a great cook and she obviously has a great touch with spices, but I can't help feeling it's just very refined (nothing wrong with that) home cooking? I'm sure in the past they have pulled people up on being a one trick pony. She needs to demonstrate an understanding of world wide cuisines if she wants to be a master chef.

Star of the show this evening has to be Saliha; can she go all the way?

I'm pretty sure other people have been booted out before now because they only cooked one type of food. She's a great cook, but I'm very bored with her constant curries now. They need to make her prove she can cook other food as well.

I'm finding it hard to decide who's the best at this stage. scratchchin

Just discussing this now at work, she needs to be able to prove that she can do other things, probably too late now though.

I want Steve or Lorna to win this.

So first night of finals and

A) they're following someone else's receipes

B) they're not even cooking!

I do hate when they do this. It's kind of boring

I've liked him since seeing him on Great British Menu. He just seems like a really decent fella.

Him and the likes of Tom Kerridge show you don't have to be s like Gordon Ramsey or Tom Aitken to be a top chef.

Alison to win. They're all brilliant, but I think she is a step above.

Nice restaurant but how many dishes would you need to order to actually be full up?

First two parts are a little bit "cooking-by-numbers"/following orders. At least these four weren't like some of the dear departed who would be in total meltdown - I think they're neck and neck.....

Slightly underdone lamb..... oo....

....and don't understand the rusk'n'cake combo.

First two outshone the second two.... ...just!
