Not sure I like the US based episodes as much. I understand they've got to do 20 shows a year now Discovery is owned by Velocity so appealing to the Yanks a bit more.

However I feel it's becoming a bit too much like Fast N Loud.

Can't wait for the return to dirty old Blighty with some British Leyland junk.

I can't really see much difference?
The camera work is pretty poor though...too much close up and fast jerky panning for my liking.

.
Yeah, that was my first thought especially when Edd got the cow fur seat covering which F&L did on their 59 Bonneville.

We only saw a small fraction of the work that was done to that truck. Why spend 10 minutes showing us how to paint your name on the door when we could have been watching the engine getting stripped and painted, the engine bay being prepped and painted, the custom exhaust being fabricated and fitted or the gear selector being fitted?
I am guessing there was a large team of people all working on that car.

Was funny how prim and proper the truck looked, all neat and high in the air compared to all the rods around it.
Knew they would sell it in UK, we pay so much more.

really liked the truck - not too sure about the cow-skin seat but overall a yes please from me (did like the idea of using the angle-grinder to etch the window... I know small things and all that)

Just watched the F1 truck episode.

Maybe I'm not in the right mood, but the whole episode left me cold. The project didn't seem to be their thing, Edd seemed oddly unconvincing, and it just didn't work for me. It was something that Gas Monkey Garage would have done so much better.

Edit: Also one of the most unconvincing price negotiations evarrr on the sale.

Enjoyed both episodes and thought the cars were spot on. Would love either of them! Although the hide would go but each to their own.

only negative for me was also the background music, just a bit overdone.

Annoyed me when Mike kept saying their rat look pick up was unique and unusual. On one occasion I think when we had just seen another rat look pick up!

Yes it seems to be the thing these days to drown out the dialogue with overbearing music. The British WD doesn't have it so I guess it's an American affectation.

The finished article was a bit OTT for my tastes. I liked in white with the original wheels.

She came out really well, maybe a replacement wood dash, but the rest was nicely done.

Yep, enjoyed the MG episode, perhaps they spent SLIGHTLY too long on the oil seal plate part though?

End result was top-notch.

I thought it looked a bit too blingy, but maybe that's the look they wanted for the American market. I'd have preferred it with the original steel wheels and old English white paint, the paint on th car when they got it looked to be more like washing machine white than old English white imo.

Hope Ed was careful where he drilled the hole for the retaining pin on the crankshaft oil seal bush, it looked perilously close to the lip of the oil seal, which will be ripped to shreds if it runs over the hole where the pin sits.

Just seen this. How many episodes have I missed in this series?
