I dare not look at any other pages about this show as I only just stumbled onto it thanks to a mate who has badgered me for ages to watch it. He said I could jump season 1 and start at season 2 and as I'm off this week I thought I'd try season 2 today. Just finished the last season 2 episode eek
Fantastic television, I'm well and truly hooked.
Season 3 tomorrow smile

Just watched the first episode on iPlayer. Great episode, didn't expect the twists and turns at the end at all.

I noticed that, but I guess it could have been someone else, or a scene error. Like when Ifield first arrives at AC12, Arnott doesn't know who he is at that point but when she (sorry, I've forgotten Vicky McClure's character name) sits down at the monitor to watch the meeting, it says "PC Ifield" across the top of the screen.

I found Arnott's delivery really stilted when he was interviewing the suspects first rape victim in her flat. If he'd been on the other end of a phone you'd imagine he was reading from a script.

+1...especially as it introduces us to the characters etc, but also because it is very good (re-watched all the series on iplayer last year just to catch up) with - of course - the 'line of duty' comment at the very end justifying his actions.

Thanks, and after finishing series 3 today I certainly will wink

what was the point of that. Seemed a bit at odds with the rest.

It was strange given everyone else in a high position in this show seems very sharp and knowledgable about every minor detail of law or procedure.

If they wanted to telegraph to the viewer that this kid is innocent, I suppose having stty legal advice is part of it.

she did leave it at home but did you not see the shot of a car pulling up outside, We presumed it was her husband following to give her phone to her, or being suspicious. Then again, he didn't appear during the time there was some DIY shopping going on. Perhaps hubby thinks there is ugly bumping going on. Or it wasn't him and I'm an idiot.
It was a black W211 so same type of car.

So she can now carry on making it look like the dead forensics guy especially if she still has his fingers on ice somewhere? She was a bit sloppy swapping the bloods in the forensics store.

I imagine his laptop will have the images from his security system on it, showing how things really unfolded in the flat that night.

Will the young lad be released from prison at some point if he is no longer a suspect, and will the crimes then start to happen again? Based on his prison cell getting trashed, "Beast" and him not being able to remember things/swearing he didn't do it, perhaps he does have a genuine split personality?

Another brilliant episode. Building up nicely. So many questions and theories. Can't beat a good interrogation scene biggrin

This is by far the poorest story, it has nowhere to go that we care about and the detail of the escape was skipped. I think a sex discrimination line gets introduced as Ted has changed character to be patronising to Huntley and blocked Kate's promotion. Also all the evidence pointed to the CSI guy so why make more evidence and risk getting caught.

I thought it was very watchable, you maybe need a willing suspension of disbelief, but it works for me as a piece of entertainment on a Sunday night.

Bingo. He's far too obviously innocent. There's the twist. That and the irony that Westworld was right all along. Until she killed somebody then decided to cut up the body rather than calling the police as any normal person would, because presumably his finger prints all over the tools would be sufficient to to prove self defence...

Still love it though.

Presumably we'll be treated to a flashback? How lady DCi gets from laying on back underneath adult male wielding a chopsaw to seeing him off after & getting him to disclose his codes etc etc. All without getting injured.

I think the lead character AC12 DS Arnott is very well cast / acted - really fits the OCD mould with his spouting all the rules and regs during interrogation, and his appearance...shame he cocked up the armed response bit in Series 1 EP1 (or did he?).

Agreed on his 'super' becoming very 'old skool' sexist all of a sudden. Strange. Very watchable still.
