I'm coming to the conclusion that I don't care about anyone in this series.
In the first series, the main character was sympathetic, if flawed, in this one no-one is at all sympathetic.
.
Agreed but I feel this adds to the realism of the characters. In the first series, the main character was sympathetic, if flawed, in this one no-one is at all sympathetic.

I recorded this series and played the first one tonight. I was hooked straight away and saw all three on the trot. I don't often like cop series but LoD has cracked it.
One or two minor slip ups but lower than most.
One that surprised me was the custody officer being behind reinforced glass. Is this current practice?

Really enjoying this: very intense viewing.
It struck me that, unusually for a cop show, three episodes in and we haven't yet been introduced to any proper criminals (as distinct from coppers who turn out to be criminals).
Its about an anti corruption unit...It struck me that, unusually for a cop show, three episodes in and we haven't yet been introduced to any proper criminals (as distinct from coppers who turn out to be criminals).
(I'm not in any sense complaining, mind: it was just an idle observation.)

Really beginning to hate Fleming, hopefully those 2 prison guards will get dealt with!!
Drydens had it too I reckon.
Given that she hit a woman with a bottle and then bashed her head against the ground just for having a radio on too loud, I would assume that the screws must be crapping it.Drydens had it too I reckon.

Anybody any theories re the missing girl - Karlie Clark ??
She is being mentioned way too much just to be an aside surely?
Even if it was her body they found under the floor?
Yep, I reckon she's involved in the main plot, somehow - though it's starting to look like a hell of a coincidence: Denton gets sidelined into the Missing Persons backwater after the ambush fiasco, and the very first case she decides, off her own bat, to investigate, turns out to be tied up with the very set of circumstances that got her sidelined in the first place....She is being mentioned way too much just to be an aside surely?

Really loving it, Hawes in particular, but god it's brutal and the police don't exactly come across well, no wonder they didn't want to get involed.
The prison service doesn't fare much better though!
I'd crawl across broken glass just to stand in a lift with her and smell her farts! The prison service doesn't fare much better though!
