Tyrells Classic Workshop is pretty good, I think they've only done 2 or 3 so far though. They're the guys that are rebuilding Harry's Espada engine, it just borders on the right amount of geekiness
Quite possibly the most informative channel on YouTube. I saw the video he did on the Rover SD1 and I thought it was fantastic. I didn't know the little scallop on the sides of the car were design ques from a dagger.

I enjoy Retropower, got in to them when they were doing Gordon Murray's Escort. Since the lockdown they've started filming it themselves (they got someone else in to do it) to give updates on the shop. The Project Utah one is a really exciting one I think.

Plus, shameless plug for My Wife Hates This Car. Core content is (trying) to restore a Lada to take a K-Series, but the RAV4 has taken over it in that respect as learning to weld on a Lada is hard.

yes I'm liking the Morris Minor build at the moment, even if there's not much Minor left other than the shell (MX-5 parts with a Ford engine underneath)

Johnny Smith has now changed the channel name from Carpervert to The Late Brake Show. Still the same channel, but a bit more "sponsor-friendly" name.
Fix Ride Drive Fly if you like watching a welsh bloke fk about with old reliants, I do!
Carthrottle has been mentioned
Hubnut

And my favourite - Doghouse Customs. Bloke in shed making custom motorcycles. Really talented. He did a lot with On Yer Bike before setting up on his own.

There's a chap called Badgertronix who's restoring a Morris Minor on YouTube, started watching it last week. Very good, down to earth kind of bloke who isn't (i don't think) throwing performance parts on it.

Amazing how much chopping and changing there is these days with vloggers and journos. There's so many and the main ones seem to swap channels/media companies all the time.

I do wonder how much money there is in it these days though (I'm sure it has been discussed on here but I'm not trawling through a few hundred pages!

Indeed. For a One Man Band there's probably a living to be made, but 'professional' channels with actual staff being paid a proper wage, less so. Unless there is a supporting business (CarWow, AutoTrader, CarThrottle, etc)

As for people changing channel, this is where it is worth following people on Twitter, so they will post a link to anything new they do.

It is possible to make big money. This adorable little cherub is Ryan

He makes $26M a year from YouTube. Everyone on YouTube wants to be like Ryan as he is the highest earning "star".

It’s probably been mentioned in other YT threads, but I really enjoy salvage rebuilds uk.

Very unpretentious series of 2 guys buying copart write offs and repairing them to a good standard but in a cost effective way. They also sometimes do some vids on barn finds they get hold of, and usually just get them running and cleaned up (the 306 GTI-6 was a good series - been sat for about 12 years outside and once cleaned up and some mild tinkering it fired up and ran sweet as)

Another vote for Driftworks, it's quite interesting to see what goes into the build.

Rob Dahm's channel is good with him taking the rotary engine to extremes though he seems to put a load of content out over a few days and then nothing for a couple of weeks then another flurry.

Hoovies Garage and Scotty Kilmer always worth watching.

Entertaining, rather than the only interseting thing about them being the cars they own.
Can't stand either of their voices.

Wish they’d progress with the Range Rover rebuild.
