You could imagine that many of the characters might actually be based on real people...
Yes, it's rather worrying that and we are paying their salaries.

There's a lot of throw-away lines in it, like the comment about the TG reviews

"Someone has to watch the last four years of Top Gear"
"So that's basically Dave, then?"

But I thought an hour was too long, and the PR company is just too annoying to watch.

Maybe the script will throw a surprise but you just know that Will the intern will get a job on the back of the Tsonga connection. Which is a statement about how jobs in this place work. The most useless can get an in as long as they are wealthy enough to work as unpaid interns and/or have connections and live in London.

Will, the intern must be a seriously good actor as he plays a total brainless knob so very very well. Who would speak like that - ever - like - yeah - like no but oh yeah I see - yeah.

The other one I want to punch in the face is Simon Harwood played by Jason Watkins, the chap who did Christopher Jefferies so brilliantly.

Just sits in the corner and contributes nothing apart from an occasional "yes brilliant" regardless of how brain dead the input is.

And as for David the development guy with not a single idea.

It can't be that bad, can it? Can it?

Same here, very good but should have been kept back to half an hour

Maybe it's not that it's bad as an hour, perhaps it's just a bit too much to take in one go. Rest of the series is back to half an hour, anyway.

Just caught up with the last few episodes having returned from holiday and was pleased to see it's as good as ever. Shame it's only 4 episodes.

Did anyone else notice Siobhan prominently waving a Sky remote around in the 'shared innovation space' scene?

Shame it's only four episodes long, especially just as Will Like Yeah No Like Cool and Izzy seem to be becoming the W1A version of Tim and Dawn from The Office.

New series starts on the 18th.

Still featuring the improbably-named but utterly gorgeous Ophelia Lovibond.

"Totally. Yeah. Okay so the thing with this is. Okay. The thing is. Totally."

Tbh I forget which of Siobhan's quotes are from W1A or 2012.

Not really. They should have just made the character a Middlesburger(?) so that Monica Dolan could use her own accent. smile

EDIT: Apparently the citizens of Middlesbrough are known as "Smoggies".
