I thought he was absolutely superb. Exactly the right degree of menace...Something I need explaining, I might have missed.. what did the opening scene: the Nazi interigation, have to do with anything?

Anyway, just learnt that David Thewlis was once married to Anna Friel. Lucky chap!

"They're all trapped and none of it really makes any sense, but nothing in Fargo tends to make much sense. Things in Fargo just happen, leaving the characters to pick up the pieces."
I think this sums it up nicely; then you realise it's just best to go with it and enjoy the little things (and stop worrying about the plot - that'll take care of itself!)Season 4 trailer, it's out in April on Hulu. Hopefully it's in the UK at the same time on C4 or Netflix. This one is set in 1950, African Americans and Italian mob.

Prepare to be disappointed.
I do so hope not - the previous three series have all been brilliant, especially Billy Bob Thornton's character and David Thewlis' character (S1, and S3 respectively) and the general bleak life and times in Minnesota. I'm not even very demanding here, it just needs to be enjoyable nonsense, well filmed, with a smattering of oddball characters well played - hell, it even turned out that Martin Freeman was "right" for his character!
Latest series still watchable, just not great.
Struggled with Chris Rock in the head of the family role. Doesn't seem to carry the same presence on screen as Glynn Turman.
Ben Wishaw was fine though and while some episodes seem flat, going no where, just that bit off, I liked how it all tied up.
