I have to agree, but I've found the seasons have been in a downward trajectory since the first one.

We gave up on the latest a few minutes into episode 3...

Still sticking with it. To be fair the first season was the best by far, but this is still better than some other clap trap being churned out. Eg I have to leave the room when the females are watching Masked Bloody Dancer. Give me strength.

I’m confused, could someone please clarify...

Are there different versions of Fargo? I’ve seen one with Martin Freeman, but are there others? I’m guessing there are both films and TV series?

One with Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton, one with Ted Danson, perhaps the best season along with with latest one I thought, one with Ewan McGregor which I found alternately brilliant and dull and now one with Chris Tucker which as I said I am enjoying hugely. There is also a film which is/was wonderful!!

I'm catching up on season 4 via the C4 TV app and the video quality seems a bit poor compared to other streaming services. Is it the same for everyone?

Yes,

Original film and now 4 series on TV, all unrelated storylines. Current series isn't grabbing my attention much.

Well, now the last episode of season 4 has been screened on live to air, what do we think?

Well the theory that Satchel grew up to become Mike Milligan, season 2, confirmed.

Other than that, this is the season I least enjoyed by far.

That episode wholly, or almost wholly set in that weird roadside hotel with Satchel and Rabbi Milligan was just bizarre.

Must admit to a lol when Gaetano tripped after shooting the ocd cop and blew the top of his own head off.

And Oraetta asking for Josto to be shot first so she could watch. One sick broad.

Otherwise just seemed an excuse for finding ways to kill off as many characters as possible.

Wondering what their future plans for Aunt Zelmare are, if any.

Not to mention Ethelrida, one smart cookie.

However if season 1 was 10/10, this just about scraped a 4/10.

And seasons 1-3 plus S4 ep1-6 are still not on Sky Q All 4.

Not my favourite series, I understand what they were trying to achieve and the ending really took me by surprise, still visually stunning but the plot was poorly (per Fargo standards) constructed. Still couldn’t take my eyes off it, even bought a little pack of carrots from Morrison’s for a lunch time snack

Big fan of previous seasons and watched first ep of season 4. I'm really unsure whether to continue. Absolutely nothing grabbed me in that first ep. Other seasons' first eps were a bit difficult to guage I suppose but had something to hold onto by the end of the first ep. S4's first ep did nothing for me in that regard. Decisions.....

I have not watched all of s4 yet but I am really enjoying it. I like the change of pace from the other series, and it is, in my opinion, well scripted and unusually funny

I've given up on it. I enjoyed every episode but never had the desire to watch the next one - it just never really grabbed me.

I suspect though that he is in a very small minority in that.

Just look at how few posts there are about s4 compared to the previous ones.

I rarely give up on series and my wife is still watching the Walking Dead, but this didn't grab us at all and we liked all the earlier series and the film.

It was a good series, it just had too many episodes, the story itself could have been told in half as many.

Loved the nurse, she’s what really kept me interested to start with. The railway station scenes were fantastic.

It obviously wasn’t well received over here, the first indicator was the reduction in the amount of adverts, and then 2 time slot changes.

Really glad I stuck with it, it wasn’t until the last 4 or so episodes that I really couldn’t wait for the next, though.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I'll have another go but I'll need to like something about ep2 or that will be it.

I wasn't enamoured by S3 right up until the air conditioner bit. That got me. Those unexpectedly bonkers bits are exactly why I've enjoyed the other three series so much.

So many great scenes. My personal favourite is series 3, the meeting on the hotel lobby.

"You're a pretty distinctive guy", "am I? Look around you".

Whole scene is just beautiful.

Series 4 was ruined for me by the directors' insistence on moody atmospheric lighting .Did all American houses in the 1940s/50s have a maximum 10w in each room? I could hardly make out the actors' outlines let alone establish who they were. Then there's the insistence of actors in mumbling their Americanese - how do they expect to sell the series to overseas markets?

Mind you, loved the concept of death by tornado.

I really enjoyed S4 once I built up a backlog and binge watched them.

I trust everyone watched past the end of the main credits in ep11 wink

Yes, that was classic Cohen Brothers cinematography, no words needed, just the background music and wonderful camera work, no other film makers can make the “Dakotas” look so dramatic / bleak

Began watching season 4 and finding it as entertaining as the previous ones (viewed episodes 1 and 2)

Found the swapping of sons highly amusing and nearly wet myself when father and sons were reunited for a short while, one son telling his father that he was being fed peanut butter and his father later passing on a message from the boys mother saying he was to eat his veg was absolutely hilarious - Classic Fargo and obviously much more to come

Online review sites are well off the mark when they rate the latest Ozark series well above Fargo 4, online reviews are no longer to be trusted
