Two very enjoyable episodes. The return of Becky does seem to be taking a long time - I wonder of the actress changed her mind and it's now off the agenda. Pity. However, there are 2 returnees twixt now and Christmas. Important characters to boot, but you'll get no spoilers from me, me Corrie Buckos.

Anna is getting really jealous of Sally, which I think confirms our suspicions about her feelings for Tim. And Cathy really put her foot in it with the trip to Blackpool. Seeing her paddling in the sea was the last straw I think. Didn't Hayley do that?

Cathy - "The mere sniff of a Bachelor's Button and my eyes start watering".

Steve - "Now he's finished with defiling my mother" ! Liz's bits are so worn they are probably kept together with bungee straps.

Best of all? Mary's tale of when she was a kid, put on a white sheet and climbed through to Mrs Reilly next door to scare her. She was 90 years old but knew some ripe language! Classic Corrie.

Yes, it brought back too many painful memories for Roy, that's why he did a runner.

To be fair, Cathy didn't know about Hayley doing this.

Apparently Old Trafford is within hearing distance from the Corrie set and Man U are at home tonight. There's a rumour going round that the fans are going to try and disrupt the live episode with targeted chanting!

Should be fun.

I saw that, and could not help wondering if it was just another way of advertising the show, Britain loves a "failure", and people will be tuning in to see it go wrong?

Why not call the police instead of trying to bungle Callum into the canal?

Thermos flask, salt and vinegar crisps, and margarine butties.

(I believe it belonged to David Nielson's mother)

You call that a wrench, this is a wrench!

I doubt she could do much more than drag that wrench along the floor, let alone hit someone accurately on the head whilst they were struggling.
