Soap plod - always nothing like the real thing. Billy's secret was a let-down.

Been having a look around the magnificent Ely Cathedral, near Cambridge today and came across this kneeling pad:-

Never realised builder Charlie Stubbs was a man of the cloth, before he arrived in the street, and eventually ended up being murdered by Tracy Barlow.

Just a reminder for those without Sky/Series-link type STUFF - there's an unusual Thursday night showing (20:30) this week.

.. and yes, that cop/Izzy rollover scene rolleyes

Thanks for reminding us. I'm on link but as you say, some folks won't be. I reckon it's all a build-up to next week's shenanigans.

There are a few storylines which need terminating ASAP - one of them is this weed smoking plot. It's dragging on and on. (Get it? Dragging on the spliff?)

Only to be re-incarnated on Emmerdale.

Here in Norn Iron the Ulster TV continuity announcer just called Jenny "Thon Ginger Jezebel".

Classic.

(Poor Ken - looks like Audrey has her eyes elsewhere.)

Have the writers got amnesia? We've just done this 'play hard to get' storyline with Gail and Michael, it was st then too.

Also, it seems not a single person saw Izzy getting carted off by the police. Bullst!

I really wasn't expecting Carla to come out with that.... what next?

Meanwhile - if Nick had medication in the past for his brain damage which clearly made it better, how come the doctor can't prescribe it again?

Jenny the PT......Jonny's like putty in her hands.

You and me both. This could turn out to be a classic Corrie week to rival the best in its history. Or it could be a damp squib, like only Corrie can achieve. Let's hope they quietly drop the weak storylines, and concentrate fully on the good stuff. Pity that involves Sarah-Lou, but you can't have it all.

Catching up with last night. I don't think it was the brain injury kicking the Surveyor out. He was asking for it.

He did not seem to be properly equipped for the job I felt anyway....

Talking of brain injuries, over on the dark side, for ye of closed minds, you missed Bobby Beale (child murderer of Lucy) cudgel Jane with his private school hocky stick, twice more after she was down, with blood spraying over a freshly iced wedding cake!

And Pat Butcher came back as a ghost to chat to Peggy Mitchell as she topped herself!

Quite a cheery week.
