..........and another thing...

Regarding the "hoax" played on Sally..

If a "real" hospital contacted somebody by phone with very bad news they would not tell you over the phone but say something like... "We would like you to call in to discuss your results".

I don't doubt it but not everybody knows that and even if you did , if the call sounded plausible you'd still fall for it

Especially ultra-gullible Sally.

What's with Simon's phone? Clearly there's something incriminating on there - how is Peter going to explain to Simon why his phone has been destroyed? Has he been using it to contact his bit of fluff?

The Corrie writers are keeping the script and plotline really "tight". I still think it could be any one of them, and clearly this is the programme's intention. Adam seemed genuinely surprised by the later will. I commented some months ago that I found Daniel a bit creepy - he's even more so these days. Tracy being disinherited, Peter and his odd voicemail to Simon. It's all so exciting!!!

What the heck was Freddy doing? That's bad form, as Hook would say. There's an accepted procedure when you're out with mates and win on the machines. You share, or at the least buy some more rounds.

Had to laugh when Brian admonished Freddy in the Rovers.

Brian's as tight as a duck's arse....biggrin

Well played Rita.

About the cavalier. The Vectra replaced them in 1995 so streetcars must have been using a 20 year old taxi for Tim to have experienced it. That or it's one of those super awkward customers that people are still talking about 10 years later

Anyone notice Tyrone Dobbs seems to have a lot thicker hair than he had a few months ago?

Same with Steve M'cDonald, Nick Tilsley and Shaun Tully.

scratchchin
I saw a piece within the last week where the actor playing Tyrone had tagged the actor of Kev suggesting he may also want a hair transplant, in a pisstakey tone.

A civil war re-enactor joke about a pike up the back of a Vectra wouldn't really work though would it. ? Whereas a Cavalier would - for obvious reasons . Or a Vauxhall Roundhead ....

I think we can assume that Brian is not a petrolhead. When the Vectra was introduced Vauxhall sponsored adverts which claimed 1000 differences between the Cavalier and Vectra - I'm b*ggered if I can see them. Nice door mirrors, though.

So Brian possibly thinks the two models are one and the same car. Plus as coppice says, the joke doesn't work, otherwise.

Friday's episodes are historically the best of the week. Can't wait.

I had a Mk1 Cavalier in metallic brown. Massive space under the bonnet. You could actually step inside (with head ducked) to work on the engine. (Apropos nothing in particular..........)

I noticed tonight that Bill Roache wears a hearing aid. Not surprised - he's 84.

Does Eileen have to learn to drive in a car with a gearbox? Or does an automatic licence cover an electric car?

PS I'm baffled as to why Peter thought Chloe would bother to tell the police the truth. He's deep in t'mire now.

Had he lost she would still have expected that £1 back in full. She should have agreed a stake of the payout before it won.

Tough luck I say.

He's so crass it does make you wonder how he reached the heights of headmaster.

You don't think Nathan's into snuff movies by any chance? It's just the way he threatened that other girl if she played up any more.

I don't normally read spoilers as I find it detracts from the enjoyment of the programme, so I genuinely haven't got a clue how things are going to pan out for Bethany, but Nathan seems to have some kind of a hold on that dark haired bird with the sore fingers.......smile
