Thank you. I was wrong about Maria - on reflection it's not a StreetKa, but a VW Beetle convertible. She seems to drive it about once every two months. It's the weirdest street in the universe - nobody ever goes anywhere outside a radius of 200 yards unless it's to the precinct for Freshco or the hospital for the usual soap melodrama
Not forgetting the Flying Horse in Jubilee Terrace if they're feeling adventurous biggrin:

Curly Watts and Reg Holdsworth. Happy days indeed.

PS Nice to see tonight that Summer's grandfather doesn't have his lips glued together. Probably won't see him again.

But if ever an actress was born to play a part. Stonefaced or what. Superb.

It's good to see Corrie tackling these issues. Those attitudes are still sadly around today.

Especially here in Northern Ireland. Sundays are for bible study, or you will live for eternity in the burning hell of Beelzebub. What's that? Gay people eat cake?

PS Goodness knows what Phyllis and Percy would think of all this, let alone Ena, Martha and Minnie. Modern times , eh?

And I bid you good day.......

I don't know. When I was 12 I certainly wasn't riding around on my Grifter. Nooo, I was down the local solicitors trying to launch a case against someone...

Well selected WR. God I miss that woman's intellect and quirky sense of humour. And Victoria Wood. She clearly understood soaps and how they work- we should make her a posthumous honorary member of this thread.

On the subject of cars, there's a very nice MK1 Renault Megane convertible that keeps appearing. Dark red. I had one in yellow and loved it. This one on Corrie looks mint. Most of them look pretty ropey these days, the youngest ones are 14 years old.

Indeed. Her parody of one of my favourite films "Brief Encounter" is superb.....

Steve and Peter discussing Toyah's medical problems - on the jukebox Coldplay's "Fix You".

Why was Toyah wearing a dressing-gown in tonight's episodes?

Amy is 13 nearly 14, Summer is 12, so how come they're in the same year at school?

She didn't have perk up when she realised Dev was going to have a bit of cash in the bank. Gold-digger.

You beat me to it,....... kicking poor Kevin in the teeth into the bargain.

SWT I tell 'ya.

On a brighter note pleased Craig has managed to hold onto his job, let's hope that creep Neal gets what's coming to him.

Meanwhile, over at the Bistro things are going from bad to worse for Robert......smile
