I have to totally agree with this. The compo culture in the UK runs very deep - in reality many people of the lower classes (and some from above) are constantly on the look-out for ways to cash in.

It's not the UK in general . The recent case about false claims re illness on holiday showed that most cases emanated from - Liverpool and Manchester . I live in N Yorkshire and have never been canvassed on the street to make a claim for PI - but I certainly have up the road in Teesside...

The angle of the ladder was far too steep, so I suspect he hasn't receive proper training in it's use. In which case, he has a massive claim on Tim's employer's liability insurance, which like motor insurance, is compulsory so Tim must have by law.
But of course it'll never be mentioned, just like those injured in the minibus crash, Anna's accident with David, and various other calamities. In real life, millions of people make false and exaggerated insurance claims, but on Corrie, some very hard up people don't seem to bother to make genuine claims!
Indeed, especially now with Adam looking for business. But of course it'll never be mentioned, just like those injured in the minibus crash, Anna's accident with David, and various other calamities. He might get some work when Tyrone and Fit are up in court for fraud.

so is Vinnie really dead? Or will he return from the dead like Dirty Den in Eastenders? After all it was Andy that shot him so could have missed the vital bits and Vinnie can come back and haunt Phelan.

Two murders for the price of one, you always get good value with The Street..........
Of course Phelan is laughing all the way to the bank because he has now got the money back from Vinny.....
Eileen must be the world's most gullible woman.
Eileen's going to be a lonely woman, both sons gone and I wonder how long it will last with Phelan....Of course Phelan is laughing all the way to the bank because he has now got the money back from Vinny.....

It does seem a very unusual step, considering that Michael Le Vell and William Roach were simply suspended when they were charged. Unless they know more than is publicly known to date.
Could be a knee-jerk reaction because of all the recent news stories -Weinstein, Westminster, Spacey etc..\Maybe they felt they had to act immediately because of public feeling.(Public feeling is what Bruno did.............)

It's about time they stopped publishing the accused names whilst withholding the accuser. I am really hoping it turns out she is lying and gets sent down.
To be serious a minute, joking aside, I agree with you 100%. What if this girl was a chancer, the thing that seems strange to me is that Granada have been so quick to dispense with his services, unless they know something we don't.Just say he is found not guilty, it will put them (Granada) in a very awkward position, there may be grounds for Bruno to take some legal action.
I actually liked "Todd" I am certainly sorry to see him go from the programme.
Hopefully the story will prove groundless, and he can resume his acting career, we will have to wait and see.
