Yes, he's been excellent, plenty of scope for some future comedy.
Now, regarding the compo....
£80,000?
This is for a large factory completely gutted, all the equipment, fixtures and fittings, stock, loss of business.....
A few industrial sewing machines would be worth more than that., and how long is that going to last .....
You've forgotten that Adam, in cahoots with Eva, arranged for all the machinery and fittings to be stolen The insurance refused to pay out for that because it was an inside job. Now, regarding the compo....

Yes, I realise that, but I thought the insurance company must have backed down.If not, which insurance company has sent the 80k cheque, and for what?

I've no sympathy for Aidan, he had it all, factory, flash car, Eva, and decided to risk it all going with that brain dead trollop Maria. His brains were definitely in his pants. He looks a broken man, difficult to see how he can recover.

Quite so. At no point have they ascertained who was present in the office at the time - mind you, asking Rosie would be like talking to wet cardboard. Would a solicitor's office be open to the public in that way? If it's upstairs, surely the door would be locked and there'd be an intercom for entry?
Did they have intercoms in the 70s? That office is so old-fashioned I keep expecting Sam Tyler to appear shouting "where's my PC?"Wacky Racer said:

Way back in my distant memory, I think Mike Baldwin owned the whole complex of the garage, the Kabin and flats above and the factory. I may be wrong.
Clearly things have changed, because Rita sold her flat, and the Kabin has a new owner, although that would probably be by sale of unexpired lease. I admit I feel the same way as you - the insurance company will not allow Johnny just to take the money. At the very least, the local council (Sally!) will insist the roof is repaired and the property put back into rentable order.
More soap storyline writing which ignores the real world.

The "carry the washing machine" scene was like something from a 70s sitcom. Dire and not at all funny. Unlike calling a van Delilah - poor Ty, he's in the mire now.
Dev appears to have changed his old Saab convertible for a Honda CRV which is a sensible choice for a businessman with 2 teenage kids. The car fits the star. I hope his chat with Mary pays dividends - her attitude is starting to grate on me.
