Yes, I wonder what he'll do now? Depends on his financial situation I suppose, lay low for a while then come back to acting?
Get a job in a Solicitors office?

He could do what his on screen brother has done and go to Australia and join one of their soaps (Neighbours)...

The actor playing Pat Phelan just keeps getting better and better. Real scary but in a very subtle way. No screaming and shouting like most of the poor actors on Corrie but really menacing and goes from evil to Mr Nice Guy effortlessly. Makes up for the crap storylines.

Phelan is such a great character and I'm glad that it looks like he's going to be responsible for Anna's downfall. She's been darkening the mood of The Street for years now.

He's obviously not likeable but since he's only killed or tormented characters that I don't have strong feelings about, I like having him around. It'll be a shame when it catches up with him, which it will. Hopefully not too soon.

Well you won't have to put up with her much longer, she has her knockers but I'm not one of them.

Phelan has been a breath of fresh air in the street, even dozy Eileen thinks the sun shines out his arse. He certainly can talk his way out of virtually any situation.

Talking of shifty characters, what the heck is the connection between Mary and George's illnesses? I can't believe that Corrie are going to implicate her in child abuse, maybe only tenuously. I wonder if it's something like her perfume, or even sweets she gives him. I hope they don't drag this on for too long.

He will be allergic to some types of flowers or something.

Mary had taken him to "Prestons petals" each time he has been ill.

Ah yes. I hadn't thought about that. Well deduced.

I'd been mulling over that possibility but the last time that George was ill, he was in hospital, improving by the minute. Once Mary visited he had big problems, again. Unless Mary is carrying some sort of exotic pollen around in her hair then I can't see it's the flower shop.

I work as a delivery driver for a florist. Pollen gets everywhere, I mean everywhere. Pesky stuff, and it stains clothing irrevocably unless you get to it early. I could easily believe that Mary is carrying it unknowingly on her person.

But given the ineptitude of the authorities in Corrie they will lock Mary up before checking anything. Just like Anna is charged before any policeman even asks the solicitors if anybody (Phelan) has been in the office. Given their rush to conclusions without any evidence she will be in for at least 10 years. Unless that is she gets off like Tracy on a technicality!

At least Mary would keep the other inmates entertained with her "mother" stories.

It's time for Corrie to publish a book of Mrs Taylor's anecdotes.
