Phillip (Schofield) and Holly (Willabooby) are going to make a cameo soon. I won't say any more (spoiler rules) although it shall be a comedy scene.
Hopefully it'll be some sort of farce bedroom scene where Holly's clothes inadvertantly drop to the floor. Hopefully.nicanary said:

Hopefully.A word of warning - we all know about the big event of the week, but on Wednesday evening my TV schedule shows one hour-long episode rather than the usual two 30-minute jobs. Presumably because of the content. (Maybe the costume staff ran out of anything to fit Shayne Ward's fatty tissue - sorry, too soon?)
There is a reader's letter in today's Sunday Times TV schedule which is worth repeating -
".........the headline-grabbing producer of Corrie has left! May humour and warmth replace the grim hectoring of issues-led storylines and our barm-cakes be buttered with the classic northern wit of which Alan Bennett would be proud."
And so say all of me.......

Sadly no nomination for Jude at the British Soap Awards but there is one for Pat

She left saying she was "proud" of her contribution to the show....There is a reader's letter in today's Sunday Times TV schedule which is worth repeating -

Yeah right, she nearly finished it off...viewers have left in droves..
Hopefully, like General Douglas MacArthur they will return.

I’m sitting on the fence on this story, on the one hand it’s a pretty dark story for an early evening soap, just as David’s attack was, on the other hand the big event portrayed needs to be raised into the public conscience as successive governments have just ignored it. If it got the media discussing it and edged along some research into why it is so common in men then it’s been worth it. I don’t understand about Aidan though. He made mistakes and messed it up with Eva and the factory, and then he gave his kidney to his sister and now the factory is seemingly doing better so effectively he’s redeemed himself.
There’s no history of depression, so why the storyline? It doesn’t make sense to me.
Anyway loving Moira at the moment.
And yes, Craig, come on!

I think they could have handled it a little better. Sure, depression and suicidal thoughts can be invisible, but more often you see someone go downhill. I speak with some experience, some become withdrawn, some become unreliable (not getting out of bed, becoming scatty) some get a short fuse. I get that he's had some crap, but it as seemingly been handled by him. I think bringing the story in without more of a 'before' story is doing those in such a position a disservice. But hey, this is one way Corro has lost it's way a little, it used to be so good at slow burn stories, this was where Enders was such a farce, stories coming out of nowhere. There’s no history of depression, so why the storyline? It doesn’t make sense to me.

I knew the heavy stuff was coming so watched the first episode. Then I thought. "It's a bank holiday, the sun is shining and I'm nicely relaxed after a couple of beers, do I really want to watch this depressing crap with Shane and David" So I found something better to do. I really have had enough at the moment.
I'm off on hols next week for a fortnight so I'll give Corrie a miss for the next few weeks and resume when all has settled back down. I might well miss Craig popping his cherry which is a shame but no doubt they'll ruin a great opportunity for classic Corrie humour with all the OCD bks.
Is there anyone on the Street that isn't completely messed up at the moment apart from Eccles.
