They always commandeered "the snug" which was part of the bar where I believe the dartboard is now situated. I've no idea where the dartboard would have been in those days. Come to that, I can't remember when pubs stopped being split into bar and lounge areas - the lounge was where you went if you were with a girl (carpets on the floor) and the bar if you were out with your mates (often bare floorboards, and in my extreme youth covered in sawdust for spitting and soaking spilt beer and blood).

The dartboard can be clearly seen in the background.

Like Dev's shop, the Rovers is like Dr Who's Tardis, it seems to have got bigger and bigger over the years.

Yes, I remember now. That's the exit to the "beer garden" in the yard. Toilets to the right, and they can't have moved because of all the plumbing gubbins. No need for a beer garden back then because we all smoked in a thick fug and didn't care that we were alll killing each other and our kids.

Happy days.

The best actor by far in Corrie at the moment is the blow up advert for Websters Garage. More animated than most of them at the moment.

Another barmy Corrie storyline

Wouldn't you need planning permission to put something like that up?

Glad Rita took direct action, reminded me of Anthony Perkins in psycho for a moment there....

Just a quick tip for those 'at work'....!
When you (inevitably) follow up "cuprabob's" really helpful post with a quick 'google image' search, don't (as a 'friend' has just done) ignore the google phrase 'also include results for Hollie Winnard'.
Just sayin'........ wink
