Exactly my thoughts. Half the street knows now.

I think we can all see which way this plotline is going - Daniel and Sinead are soon going to be swanking it up in Victoria Court courtesy of a donation by Flora.

Same as Liz telling Johnny about Susie. Just a no no in real life. A doctors receptionist just know to keep their mouths shut.

At least he's had experience of holding bablies - Oliver and now Suzy. Acting in a soap prepares you for real life biggrin

PS good return to Corrie humour tonight, with the Tim/Steve inflatable banana fight, and then the Tracy/Steve/Mary discussion about passion and fidelity. Will things last if she sees Abi's photo of Steve with the slappers on the couch?

Good mix of ‘serious’ storylines and comedy at the moment.

Moira and Flora are fun characters too.

If only the writing could be more consistent. When it's good, it's very, very good , which is why the OP started this thread. Corrie stands head and shoulders above other soaps when it gets it right, it's just that we all have to endure a bad patch from time to time, and I feel those patches have been more regular in the last few years. As they say, you pays your money................

Some fine new actors at the moment as well.

Abi, Moira (I know there’re mixed views here but I like her), Flora etc and even some of the extras.

Weak attempt at irony - claiming the '50s were so much better then all turning to their mobile phones.

Moira overacts. The others are much better.

Well I'm on holiday in the Lake District at the moment, in the arse end of nowhere so haven't had my Corrie fix since last week, so looking forward to a mega Corrie fest when we get home.

Been keeping a keen eye on this thread though as always, thank you very much (as always) for your contributions....smile

Interesting long tracking shot at the beginning of the first episode tonight, going from one conversation to the next a few times, all without a cut...

They tried that with "Casualty" a couple of years back, the entire one hour episode in one continuous take, (imo) it didn't work.

Yes, noticed that, too.
Perhaps the Director had recently re-watched this which used to be called the greatest opening scene of any film...
