What is going on with Shaun there seems to be gaps in this story.
I got confused when he was telling everyone about his fancy new job when I don't remember him applying for one. He got in deep money troubles because of his carefree spending (another social issue storyline?) and now he's homeless and presumably living with the others of his ilk under the railway arch. Daft thing is, if he went to Eileen and told her the truth she'd almost certainly take him in. Whole thing is a bit stupid.Gaps in stories are easily achieved if you try to cover too many storylines at the same time. Corrie have messed it up a lot recently, and quite honestly I can't always remember what the hell is going on. The show needs storylines culling as well as cast levels.
What I want is less drama and more characterisation . There is such a rich seam to mine - Steve (a born comedy actor with a lot of nuance ) , Mary (ditto , in spades ) , the wonderful Gemma and so many more.
My challenge to the script writers is to avoid weekly (often daily) interventions by police , doctors ,ambulances and hospitals . Their inclusion is just a lazy shortcut to inject false drama and jeopardy into a series which can thrive on an almost complete lack of either .

Couldn't agree more. I would add Abi, Tracy and Tim to that list.My challenge to the script writers is to avoid weekly (often daily) interventions by police , doctors ,ambulances and hospitals . Time to ditch Toyah, Beth and Kirk.

Just read in the press that the actor who plays Tim and the actress who plays Abi have got it on
Wouldn't like to be in Tim's shoes when Sally finds out...…Reminds me of a classic Rovers scene many years ago, when Sally was facing up to another woman (I've forgotten who) to have a massive barney and possible fisticuffs. The opponent was larger than petite Sally but Jack Duckworth muttered to another onlooker "My money's on the terrier - previous form". As usual Jack had it spot-on.

Sally’s fraud was forgotten quickly.
From I've heard - Wait a while...Sally will not be amused. Temporary halt to conjugal rights, methinks..
