Last time I saw EastEnders was when "Dirty Den" served Angie her divorce papers....

You will have seen the recent thread about the 'Enders new set?
One thing that always comes across as unbelievable is how they talk openly about the most private and personal things in public places with other people sat less than 6ft away. Prime example was last night when Sally and skinny whatserface were discussing buying drugs from inmate No. 3 and there was a prison officer in the background stood facing them just 3ft away!
Plus the "I said I wouldn't tell anyone but if I tell you then you won't say anything to anyone" akin to putting an article in the local newspaper.

I'm thinking that Tim and Gina didn't actually have physical sex. I reckon she just got into bed with him because she fancies him so much, but the act of union was beyond his capability, which is why he can't remember what happened, because nothing did. Even if you're p*ssed as a fart, you know when you're doing the business. Plus he would have needed a long pencil and some elastic bands.

The thing is, will Gina do the honourable thing and admit to this? I think not.

That was our suspicion, though how it’s going to be exposed in the storyline will be interesting (if indeed it is...)

The synopsis in my TV guide for tonight's episode suggests Corrie is getting more akin to Eastenders in what it thinks the public wants to see.

Misery and personal conflict - Merry Christmas, one and all.

(PS Maybe Steve can come up with something to lighten the mood............)

I did appreciate how Faye just insta-blurted it out when Sophie interrupted the conversation laugh

That was all as depressing as I expected. Eastenders-lite.

Best bit was Mary's Elvis-style "thank you very much" on the karaoke mic.

At least Tim and Sally are reconciled. Thought that was going to drag on for ever.

Yes, I saw that. She seems good fun. Talking of fit, Sarah was looking a bit tasty.

We caught up last night, and I said to S 'well, that was all a bit Enders...'

What a pity Gail's picture didn't come out, Audrey would have to take her seriously then....smile

Funny the Weatherfield Snooker hall has never been mentioned before......

Indeed. The writers have had 58 years to include it at some point, but I don't recall anything.

I hope we get to see billiards - snooker is a sign of a misspent youth.

That prison housing Sally must be a bit of a doddle. Visitors whenever you like and you can even slap one of them in front of a prison officer and get away with it! Sally won't want to leave. Still with her solicitor leaving soon is unlikely.

I thought it was a bit odd that nothing happened to Sally when she slapped Gina, im sure in a real prison there would be a different reaction from the warders, suppose it is soapland though
