Whilst not giving the game away there seems to be quite a few upcoming vacancies in Corrie. Hopefully they can introduce some decent actors and give them some decent storylines. Some, but not all, of the actors leaving will not be missed.

If you're referring to his Twitter feed, he posted again saying that he's only having a break from filming and he'll be back. Original tweet was a bit ambiguous.

Shame its not the writers who are leaving! Perhaps we could get some in to write a story with a beginning, middle and end plus it made sense!

I've stopped watching it. It's gone very downhill. Avid 25 year viewer.

They'll have to be very, very careful with selecting replacement cast members if the rumours are true. Otherwise the whole show could disappear down the plughole. A national disgrace.

Does anyone else think Gemma's brother is one-dimensional? He seems permanently angry and growly about everything, even if he's having a good day.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that's not going to happen as they have just cast an ex Casualty actress as her mother, so it looks as though they're not leaving anytime soon.
