They're talking about bringing it up to date, and DM having a techie 'iPatch'. They haven't confirmed David Jason and haven't said who is voicing Penfold.

Grumbly face. Please don't be 3D, PC and st.

When I first heard they were bringing DM back I was pleased, then I realised they'll just spoil it.

It will be st. It will be computer animated and ruined, much like Thomas, Fireman Sam etc.

Or it might be like Thundercats 2011 and actually have a decent story and make the original series look a bit crap!

(but it probably won't be like that)

Ps. my brother always got told he looked like Penfold, wonder if he still will...

Good call - that is better as a remake.

it'll be ruined. the henchmen in the original were camp as christmas with a lot of 'wink wink' humour aimed at the parents. can't see that being carried over.

Many current or recent progs aimed at kids and parents contain multi layered humour. Phineas and Ferb is one example, and even Peppa Pig contains much gentle satire of middle class life that is aimed at the parents not the pre schoolers. I think that this sort of thing can be carried over. Pixar movies tend to operate on an adult and a child humour level simultaneously. There is a lot of creative talent available and I'm not writing off the new Dangermouse just yet.

Well the talk is that David Jason won't be voicing DM this time around (fingers crossed this is not the case). If it does turn out to be true I won't be bothering with it.
