Better Call Saul - Prequel to Breaking Bad
Discussion

Just finished re-watching BB, and then blitzing BCS for the first time, really enjoyed it. I watched about 4-5 episodes a day... I even dreamt I was in it last night!
I thought BCS dipped a bit in season 4, but then picked up again, the last few episodes of season 5 were great. The best thing about BB and BCS is the journeys the characters go on... as Walter White said, chemistry is all about change.
I always wondered why they trusted a dodgy lawyer with bags of cash in BB, now it makes sense.
Only slight disappointment was El Camino, a tad too slow and Todd had eaten too many pies.
Has there been much discussion about the cars? Interesting mix of proper sheds and cool customs.

Totally agree with the journey of the characters - Saul being particularly interesting. The Slamanca family and associates also being equally scary and interesting.
I think the cars were discussed in 'Cars I did'nt know existed' at some point ie: Pontiac Aztek in Walt's case - Bland, yet odd and an amazingly st colour.

The Pontiac Aztec was a huge failure, just like Walter.
Saul's Suzuki Esteem was a proper stbox!
I liked Lalo's 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, I remember one in the Fast and Furious films too.
And of course super-slick Howard's Jag XJ, that suited him perfectly!
The Jeep Commander and VW Beetle suited Hank and Marie too.
Pop quiz - What was the custom car Saul was picked up in, when he had to drop the ice-cream? (S05E03)
Best suited car in BCS, even matches his trainers Saul's Suzuki Esteem was a proper stbox!

No takers? Here's a clue... not a Caddy or Lincoln, and surprisingly mobile for an old 70's car

The badge is throwing me, obviously from your clue it's an Oldsmobile, possibly a 98 LS, it's obviously had a little custom work. All 5.9m and 2.2 tonnes of it

El Camino was extremely slow and didn't stay in my memory.
Beautifully shot, of course.
I thought that immediately after watching but it got under my skin and I found myself thinking about it quite a bit for a few weeks after. Beautifully shot, of course.
I then did a second viewing and I think it's better the second time round.
I also had the Internet on hand to answer questions and cross check characters.
It was a while since I had watched bb so found I had forgotten a lot.

This may have been asked before, but what does Kim see in Jimmy Mcgill?
Women love danger. Who wants to live with someone who is dull and boring, who really wants to settle for the safe option and wonder what could have been? I speak from experience.
While waiting for the next season of Better call Saul, I'd recommend Your Honor. On Sky,

My son's criticism of it is that in Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston, takes several series to go from well-meaning to bad, In Your Honor it's just the first episode.
It's just 10 episodes, a bit too intense to binge and tightly written.

It was pretty poor IMO https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7440726/?ref_=fn_al_t...

What I find bizarre is that people assume because Bryan Cranston was great in BB that everything he stars in automatically has to be fantastic and the same character. Admittedly he’s done a lot of good stuff, but it’s not automatic that it has to be great and be loved just because he was in BB.
