So looking forward to this evening and hopefully getting home early enough to watch the new episodes.

It's a good start to S6. I am glad I watched the S5 recap though as I had forgot a lot of detail.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first two new episodes but in hindsight I should’ve watched the last two episodes of S5 first. Two years is big gap for my memory.

very much appreciate no one spoiling!
When is it safe for us to discuss the first two episodes - particularly the bit before the opening credits on S6E1?

Day after is fine by me. I'd usually keep oot until caught up but don't know if a formal spoiler policy was established.

I'm with Don V. Why would you read this thread if you weren't up to date?

According to Netflix I never watched episode 10 of season 5 so I’m just watching that now to make sure I didn’t miss it….
Same here, that’s strange?
I had seen it, perhaps it was a suggestion to watch the previous episode for a re-cap?

I hate this waiting for episodes to drop.

Lots of little throwbacks to earlier seasons in that scene that I completely missed until watching something on Youtube earlier laugh

IMO that's fine.

Keep spoilers off the generic threads for Netflix, Prime, etc, but there's no need to avoid talking about anything BCS-related on the specific BCS thread.

(and with that, I'm going to disappear until I've caught up! smile)

Absolutely. I binge watch everything now, never watch a series week by week. Surely no-one watches TV as we did when there was only 3 channels, e.g. 17 million people waiting a week for the next episode of a series as binge watching or box sets were yet to be invented.

I guess the only reason they are released on slow drip is to stop folk just getting a free month and watching them all at once.

I want to wait until all episodes are available and watch them as I want, but it's almost impossible not to see spoilers these days, no matter how careful you are, so have to watch week by week. But the problem with that is I'm old and have a memory of a goldfish...

Anyway, bloody brilliant first two episodes, love the intro scene to the episode 1 and the questions it raises.

By far my favourite series ever.

That was a great start.

I didn’t quite understand why they didn’t pick Varga up sooner though?

They were literally throwing him to the wolves, they had put a plan in motion that would have made it look like he was working with a third party.
Mike, possibly because of his past, he lost a son and probably because of his relationship with Nacho is not comfortable with Gus’s betrayal.

If you look back/ahead to Breaking Bad there is a scene early in season one where Saul mentions both Lalo and Nacho.

I think I'm going to wait until the whole season is available to watch and then binge it over a week or so. In the meantime, I think I might rewatch season 1-5 over the next couple of months then I can go straight into season 6

A reminder of the BCS Insider Podcast where the writers, cast and crew discuss each episode, often with fascinating technical aspects. 601 and 602 now available.

Is it just me or is Kim looking 'old' now compared to previous seasons. I realise all the actors will age but considering this is a prequel I can see why they could only make so many seasons.

hehe Yeah, they're struggling to disguise the aging for a prequel series now. Maybe if they stream in 720 or less only it'll help. silly

But Rhea is looking fine at 50. smokin

It's 13 years since Saul Goodman appeared in season 2 of Breaking Bad, which does make it hard to make a (long running) prequel with an ageing cast.

Mike Ehrmantraut is looking like an old man now in BCS.
