So, some discussion on the plot of episode 2...

When Jimmy went into Los Pollos he was being pretty obvious. Looked to me that Gus and the guy with the satchel had some sort of hidden alert and Gus was able to let him know that they were being watched. Satchel guy then drives away and Mike is rumbled as Gus watches Jimmy going to his car.

Looks like Jimmy will be done for 'forced entry to a property' or similar. Do we think they'll take it to the police or just force Jimmy to give up practising law... or something else?
Give up the McGil name?

Presumably, that's when Saul is born.

This is definitely the season that Jimmy finally goes full Saul. I actually love the more tragic fall of Jimmy compared to Walt. Jimmy was never in this for himself, he became a lawyer all for chucks approval and could have been a great one. It's Chuck f**king with Jimmy every step of the way that creates Saul

I loved the way they reintroduced Gus very slowly and out of focus in the background.
+1. It was great how he was blurred out but then kept on getting closer and closer by zig zagging behind Jimmy. It was really well done.

The only thing wrong with ep 3, was that it wasn't long enough!

Great stuff.

Very good.
I have to agree. My only disappointment was the appearance of the credits signalling the end!

I'm wondering if he gets a felony and disbarred, then somehow uses the name Saul Goodman to still practice law?

Seems pretty likely to me, looks like all the tie-ins are starting to be revealed.

Highly unlikely to me, even with the name change he would still have the felony conviction and be disbarred. I think Chuck's appearance in court will have a major bearing on the outcome.

So I've just watched the latest episode, really enjoying it.

I only decided to watch BB in Feb this year when I had a free Netflix month.
After 1 episode I was hooked, watched the whole 5 series then went straight onto BCS and this morning I'm now up to date, I,m not sure what else has happened the last 2 months but glad I've watched them all together, some episodes of BB would have been really disappointing if I'd watched week by week (the fly)

Looking forward to the rest of the season now

Going against the grain, bits of this episode bugged me a bit.

The shoes on the line was overdone imo.
When Gus gets out of the car, his walking towards Mike was a bit awkward. Normally he either walks smoothly in geek mode, or chargers when angry (e.g. towards the bullets).
The whole dialogue between Mike and Gus was a bit rough for my liking.
The parking across the road by Gus's cars was over dramatic. Mike wasn't going anywhere.

Good to see the doc back though- I think the same one who treated him post cartel massacre.

Enjoyed last night's I felt I got a decent amount of story out of it.

Chuck really is a knob isn't he.

I'm not sure how the court case will pan out, I suspect he wouldn't be able to simply change his name and continue to practice in the same town. Chuck setting him up seems to be the final straw for Jimmy - he's finally free of needing to impress him, he can't Chuck can only be happy if Jimmy is doing something menial. You never know, we might even see Saul by the end of the series.
Then it would have only taken 3 years to see the title character.

I'm guessing Jimmy's prophecy might come true and Chuck will collapse and die on the witness stand in court.

Another nice hint of what is to come for Hector with the shot of the wheel chair with a bell ringing in the background at the doctors smile

One of the later episodes is called Lantern.... there are a few theories that Chuck's house might burn down - after the doctor last season said he needed to be sectioned so that he didn't burn to death with all the camping stoves and gas lanterns.

Terrific television.
Well shot, great characters. Loved the way Jimmy and Kim was shot at the end.
I really liked the bit with the shoes, I thought he will never get the truck in exactly the right place and then shoot the shoes off the wire. Very clever.

They spend quite a lot of time discussing the shoe scenes in the podcast.
