I watched the latest episode with a bit of trepidation. Everyone raved about how good it was and I thought " how can it live up to the hype?".
Glad my fears were unfounded. An old fashioned court room drama which more than lived up to its hype.
Incidentally we're rewatching BB at the moment and we're on season 5 now. BCS is maybe not quite as good but I'm enjoying it just as much.
Why do we,( the BBC etc, )stick to 6 episode seasons? Surely it's obvious you can't grow a story in that time.

Brilliant.

Maybe the writers of Line of Duty should learn a thing or three?

Roll on next Tuesdays episode.

Though probably not as good as Jimmy's cracking at the seniors bingo smile

I really enjoyed that episode, very tense, extremely well acted and the way the camera fixed on chuck as he was loosing it made me feel a bit uncomfortable but added to the moment.

I predict that Howard and HHM will now treat Chuck like a turd in a punch bowl and distance and disassociate themselves as quickly as possible because, hey, who wants a crazy guy on the sign outside?

I also think that they McGill name will be damaged because of Chuck's actions rather than Jimmy's and that will be the final straw which prompts the birth of Saul, rather than any legal imposition on James McGill.

I dunno.

Surely the tribunal have no option but to disbarr Jimmy as he has fully admitted to tampering with legal documents.

I reckon both Jimmy and Chuck to be disbarred...Jimmy for his tampering and Chuck because he is obviously not mentally fit to practise law.

No he's admitted that he told Chuck that he messed with the documents, he hasn't admitted to doctoring them. In fact I think he said something along the lines of do you think I said this because I did it or to make my brother feel better in the episode.

Agreed, that would have been my first response, well, if I was Jimmy - you're dealing with a Guy with a clear mental illness, surrounded by sheets of tin foil, so he proves it's mental by slipping him the battery and follows up with "I didn't do it, I just said I did to calm down my brother" Chuck plays right into his hands by going off on one.

Sadly I think it's the end for Jimmy and Kim. When they're shown at home and alone they're usual silent, she's usually looking down heartened and forces a smile when he touches her.

I'm wondering if Kim will be offered Chucks position leaving Jimmy alone to become Saul

Chuck thinks he is allergic to electromagnetism, right?

How does a battery that is not connected to anything, with no current flowing, produce electromagnetism?

He's mental.

That was the point of Jimmy's ruse, to show it's a mental not a physical affliction.

So what was the 'gotcha' ending of the previous show about? The consensus was that she had taped Chuck admitting to setting Jimmy up, but if she had, it wasn't used.

And I think Chuck crumbled too readily.

Two reasons, I think.

1. Confirmation that the 2nd copy actually existed and;
2. requesting that it not be played would harden their resolve to play it.
